Hey! Welcome to my page! Happy to meet you. My name is Mike, and I'm the happily Married Dad of a litter of kids (28, 7, 5, and 2 step-kids, 22, and 17). Gotta have the energy to keep UP with them! I lost 40 pounds 3 years ago, and tanked it all back on. Wah for me. Well, I didn't put on any muscle using the program I was on -- just took off fat (and some muscle). Time to whip
Time to whip this near-50 body into the best shape of my life.
Some people have a "Bucket-List". I have a "60-List"! Who wants to think about dying anyway? When I kick the bucket, I want to have lived THE BEST LIFE POSSIBLE (got started kinda late with that one!). My main current target goal by the time I reach the age of 60 is to CLIMB MOUNT EVEREST. That gives me 10 years to plan, activate the plan, and when the time comes, execute the objective. P90X will directly affect my progress. I've already run 3 Marathons and 3 Half-Marathons. Those are sufficient for training for endurance, but I'm looking for over-all body strength, stamina, AND the endurance to make the climb. I plan that when I'm in base camp at 20,000 feet above sea-level, that I will be able to do 1 or 2 full P90X work-outs before summiting the peak. Horrific winds, hypoxia from little or no oxygen, possible HAPE or HACE (high altitude [Pulmonary or Cardiac] adema, 40-below zero (farenheit or celsius -- 40 below is the identical temperature), and exponentially increasing RADS from sunlight, not to mention the unshaded glaring glow of the sun, reflected off of the slopes of Chomolungma... P90X. Probably won't save my life if it's my time to die, but by the appointed time in life, I'll be conditioned and ready enough to summit the peak. Yea BABY!!!!
