Through my lack of consistency, my fitness and weight have fluctuated over the years, I reached a peak of 215 pounds and was not happy at all, my energy levels were low and I simply could not be bothered to do anything about it.
Then I got involved with Beachbody and its products, it was exactly what I needed, all I had to do was push play daily and follow the nutrition, and the weight started to drop, my energy started to rise and everything became easier.
I started off with Slim In 6, most people would not associate this program with a 6'2" 'larger' man, however it was great, it got me into some good habits. I pushed play daily and followed the plan and bang, I lost 12 pounds.
After this, I was inspired to do Power 90, I joined a great group of people on the messageboards and we pushed each other along and kept each other accountable. Getting in shape and making friends at the same time - Win/Win.
P90X followed and so did the great results, I got into running and cycling as my fitness levels rose and then triathlons. P90x was great in the off-season and really improved my performance.
Since then I've not looked back, I've completed a marathon and numerous half marathons, completed sprint/Olympic/Half Iron triathlon races......I won't be winning Kona anytime soon, however I know that I am the best that I can be and getting better every day.
What's next?....I am currently on Les Mills Combat (and loving it) and will follow up with Les Mills Pump.
