Richmond, MI Hi! My name is Stephenie Benes, I have been married to my wonderful husband for 7 years, we have a 5 year old daughter, and a 4 year old son. I work part time as an insurance agent, and the rest of my days are spent taking care of my family.
I have thought about my weight every day of my life since I was 16, and my weight has gone up and down over those years. I have always liked to exercise Hi! My name is Stephenie Benes, I have been married to my wonderful husband for 7 years, we have a 5 year old daughter, and a 4 year old son. I work part time as an insurance agent, and the rest of my days are spent taking care of my family.
I have thought about my weight every day of my life since I was 16, and my weight has gone up and down over those years. I have always liked to exercise more than I have liked to eat healthy, even though I know eating healthy is the most important part of weight loss. In January 2010, I started ChaLean Extreme, and over the next 3 months I lost 19 pounds. Since I am only 5’2”, a small amount of weight makes a big difference on me, so 19 pounds is a HUGE deal for me. Now, comes the hard part…keeping the weight off. This has always been my struggle, which is why my weight has fluctuated so much over the years. Something happened different when I lost the weight with ChaLean Extreme, when I was building muscle it quickly changed the shape of my body, and how much I could eat and still lose weight. It made it easier for me to keep the weight off, and feel good about myself.
Over the years I have read countless fitness and diet books, since different opinions on weight loss are interesting to me. I do not believe in fad weight loss diets...mostly because the ones I have tried did not work for me, since I do not have enough self control for them! I believe in healthy eating and exercise to lose weight. For the exercise, I think it needs to contain strength training and cardio, but most importantly it needs to be something that you enjoy doing. I love ChaLean Extreme because I saw results quickly with it, prior to exercising with ChaLean my exercise time got longer and longer, but I was not seeing results quickly. I have just ordered Turbo Fire and I will be adding that to my ChaLean Extreme rotation, and I cannot wait to see results.
In August 2010 I ran my first 5K, I have never thought of myself as a runner, but I decided that it was something I had never done, and I should try it. I did not come close to winning the race, but I finished it in my best time ever. Now, I am thinking about running a mini marathon, just to prove that I can do it. I am excited to be a Beachbody coach to help people reach their fitness and financial goals. I love to see body and lives change because of health and fitness. By the year 2020 70% of the US population will be overweight or obese, and I want to do my part to help stop that from happening.
