Ive always been overweight most of my life. My belly and my love handles
have been around ever since I can remember. 6 packs are not known in my
family tree, nor pecs nor lats.

In grade 11, I discovered the sport of Dragon
Boating and totaly fell in love with it. I wanted to take it to the next step and
be in a more competitive team. My 2nd year paddling, my coach happened
to be in a very competitive team, they even travel international to race. I was
so impressed with the team work and their unison. I told myself "I got to get
in that boat." but I know it wont be easy as jumping in out and of the boat. I
will have to be very fit to pass their try out. The end of my 2nd year paddling
I started to sign myself in a gym. I used to spend hours in a day without
running out of motivation to work out. I did this for 6 months during winter
time. When it was finaly spring of 2004. I quit my gym and started to run
outside. Rain, hail, snow even -2 temp did not stop me. I had the drive and
motivation, lazyness did not cross once in my head. I remember running
100km during easter weekend just to test how far my body would go. I was
able to unite my body's mind and my own will to push through my limit.
Then the time has finaly come to do the fit testing. We were required to run
4 laps around the track or a mile. I was surprise to know that I beat my last
years time by 1 full minute. My push ups were quadrupled and my pull ups
adding more and more. I made it in through the try out and I was first in the
list to get in the team. We practiced 3x a week 6am sharp from May to July. I
felt I was in the best shape of my life but my body does not look like an
athlete. I still had my belly but a little smaller and especially my love handles,
they never seem to shrink in size. The season was over for that year and I
was disappointed with the team. Not with the performance but with the
people in it. I did not intend to come back. After the season, my lifestyle
went from super active lifestyle to totally sendentary lifestyle. I was 190lbs
before doing all my crazy work out, then I became 165lbs after doing all my
work out. After the season I just had the big rebound in dieting history. My
weight jumped to 200lbs with 0 cardio at all and from 2005 until now 2008
Ive been trying to come back and hit the gym, but its no fun for me anymore
and motivation is not there! Its 2008 and I am the same look for the past 4
years, I need to change. I was on vacation in Orlando Florida staying at my
aunts house. When I was there my eating habits were uncontrolable. From
apple bees to crab shack, I just ate and ate until I was full! One morning, I
woke up and worried about my health but I know I cant have the body with 6
packs. I daydreamed for the whole hour be sexy and fit but I didnt know
what and how I was going to do it. I gave up and opened the TV. There it
was, this guy working out with other 3 people. It looked intense and it looks
fun! "I want that" I told myself. I told my gf that I would want to buy p90X.
She didnt want me to because after all the stuff that I bought, I end up not
using them. As stubborn as I can be, I bought the program. And here I am,
on my way to healthy lifestyle and be fit. Strong day 112! and still going!
