How many times have you heard, “you look pretty good for your age” or euphemisms like, “He hides it(fat) well”? How many times have you looked in the mirror and lied to your self, “I don’t look THAT bad”, or maybe you tried to be a little honest and said, “I know I’m not in the best shape, but hey, I love great food!” All of these things are called JUSTIFIERS and are typical expressions used by people who have any form of unhealthy living or addiction (in any form). These phrases are the lies we tell ourselves so that we don’t have to face the ugly truth, that we are not who we hoped we would be, and are therefore not happy with ourselves. The problem is, we often don’t have a viable healthy solution to help us change our current situation, so we simply give up. Self medicate and hope that somehow doing the same things over and over again will lead to a new form of happiness. Well enough is enough! Its time we stopped lying to ourselves and did something about it. Thanks to P90X, Shakeology and all the support and supplements offered by the Beach Body organization there is now a choice. A decision point. Do I stay on my current life plan, eat what ever I want, work out the same way –OR- Do I make a DECISION to COMMIT to follow the tested, tried and proven system that thousands of others have begun across the world and GET MY LIFE BACK!?!?! Will you join me, Nick Rocha and many others in reclaiming lost ground?

So why change in the first place? What’s your why? What caused you to get you in your current place of unhappiness. I know you think your just reading something on someone website, but I actually wrote this stuff because this is my story…

I have been in the Navy SEAL teams for the last 17 years and have enjoyed outstanding health throughout my career. I am married to the woman of my dreams and I have three beautiful girls. However, as I have gotten older and my metabolism has slowed down, and long deployments with poor nutrition, I have gained extra unwanted weight. If I keeped on my current path, I would have become more susceptible for heart problems and disease later in life. It runs in my family. I was unhappy with the ME I saw in the mirror and I have decided to objectively look at ME and tell ME the truth, “Dude, your fat! You need to lose weight and get back in shape.” So despite being a SEAL, which many of you may think makes me super human, its simply not true, I am just as human and fallible (and easily tempted by comfort food) as the next person. At one point in my life, I was so driven to reach my goal of being a SEAL, that I had intense self discipline to do the right things in order to achieve my dream. Well 17 years later, I have started JUSTIFING my eating habits and smaller work-outs which has led me to getting out of shape. At my very worse shape I was weighing 275lbs. Some of that was muscle sure, but a large majority was just fat and I felt helpless to change.

Once I committed to doing P90X I followed the FITNESS plan by throwing in the DVD each morning with 15 other people from my base I invited and began following the nutrition guide to a T. I figured if I was going to do this thing, I might as well take it serious and give it my very best effort. I went from 275 down to 230 during my first 40days!!! I felt incredible and looked not just skinnier but also very fit and muscular! I was getting looks from other attractive people for the first time in a long time and it felt awesome!!! Over the next month I came back from deployment, moved across 4 states and basically went in to a maintence phase. I put on 5lbs over the last 3 months, but essentially it has all stayed off! I changed my life and now I'm ready to help others change theirs. I am starting a FITNESS CHALLENGE at the begining of next month and I am only willing to take on 5 people at a time to work closely with them to help them stay on track and accomplish their fitness goals.
