For 7 of my 9 years active duty, I had to be taped and measured for our fitness test all but 2 times. I was sick and tired of being over the max weight and border line body fat (33%).
I officially committed myself to working out and getting fit October 2009. I say officially because I was working out every day from January 2009, but my weight loss was very slow. It was even more frustrated when I found out that I only lost 2% body fat but I was still out of standards. In October, I started to watch my food intake, increase my workouts to include cardio and free weights. By my fall physically fitness assessment, I didn’t only exceed my goal to get under the max weight; I also decreased my run time by 3 minutes, and maxed out on my push-ups and sit-ups.
Once I was home and reunited with my loved ones it took me a few weeks to get back on track. I had to switch my gym workouts to the evening. I missed the extra energy I had in the mornings, so I decided to blow the dust off my Turbo Jam discs and workout first thing in the morning. Making that decision is the best thing, I could have done, the energy I feel is the best! Each morning, I wake up looking forward to pressing play!
I am now ready to tackle Turbo Fire and Chalean Extreme, and of course the hybrid.
