My family has a health history that has my doctor raising his eyebrows, that Wife, mother of 2 (15 years apart!), Veteran (GO ARMY!), Computer Programmer by trade, student in all my spare time! I decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science in my early 30's, majoring in Exercise & Sport Science, with a minor in Health Promotion minor. I am a Certitified ACSM Health Fitness Specialist(HFS).
My family has a health history that has my doctor raising his eyebrows, that coupled with the fact that I have already lost my father to Heart Disease & Diabetes and my mother has had a triple bypass, health and fitness became a bigger passion for me.
I started using Beachbody products in January 2005 with Slim in 6. I saw awesome results and continued to order different programs. I enjoy martial arts, running, swimming and other various physical activities.
My goal is to help others realize their health and fitness potential.

I've been logging measurements for years. It started in the military, the 'tape test' for those of us who didn't fit the weight ideals. At 130lbs & 5'3, I was considered over the limit. Crazy huh? My More ...
I've been logging measurements for years. It started in the military, the 'tape test' for those of us who didn't fit the weight ideals. At 130lbs & 5'3, I was considered over the limit. Crazy huh? My body composition has changed, fluctuated, what have you, over the past 20 years. From skinny (not really healthy) teen, to buff gym rat, to mom, back to buff, to married, to mom and NOW getting back to buff! As I look at my log of weights and measures, I see there are certain points I get to when I then decide – WHOA! I need to do something… Sometimes it is a life event that has me back on track, or has me off track! This might sound crazy but I actually measured myself weekly during my last pregnancy. I wanted to make sure I was gaining healthy baby weight and not in other places!
The one thing that sticks with me, as I look back is learning to enjoy where you are at when you reach your goals. Celebrate your milestones and don’t let your setbacks keep you from moving forward. No one is perfect! We are all works in progress… My goal is to be happy, healthy and a good example to my family.
My daughter was born on Thanksgiving 2010. I know the body issues, and eating issues I experienced as a teen and my goal is to ensure she does not endure the same struggles.
I know what feels right on me, it’s not a specific weight, nor is it a tag in my pants… So on my goals, I say get toned, it asks for a number, so I say 135, but I haven’t seen that since 2007. Not that I wouldn’t like to be in the 135-140 range, it really isn’t my end goal. I want a healthy weight range, a healthy body composition, and to feel as strong and beautiful on the outside as I do on the inside… I like to tell people, “It’s a feeling, not a number”.
