South Richmond Hill, NY I was fairly fit as a teen, being on the high school gymnastic and football teams. This level of fitness carried me into my early twenties,but eating poorly, fast foods, and processed foods that were quick and easy to make made me gain weight and increase my blood pressure. I would make half hearted attempts at exercising and eating right. I would make half hearted attempts at exercising and eating right. However, a lack of commitment I just never regained the body I had in high school.
After seeing a doctor in my early 40's and being told that my results were not healthy, I needed to make some decisions. I was a certified physical therapist assistant in my late 20's and my first wife was nutritionist. So I had some basic knowledge on proper nutrition and exercise but that wasn't enough I needed something to put it all together.
Like many others, I watched the P90X infomercials several times before deciding to buy it, and I'm very glad I did. This program put it all together; weights, plyometrics, cardio and nutrition. All I had to do was push play! :-)
My faith in God is very important to me and my family but I was neglecting my temple and was not being a good stewart of what He has given me.
I completed several cycles, and though I liked the results, I only put in about 80% to 90% effort into it. I knew that if I wanted the results I saw in the infomercial I need to put in 100% committment, no excuses!

I'm 48 now and I want to avoid taking any medications. High blood pressure runs in my family. As a youth I was very fit, I was on the gymnastic and football teams for my high school. For the rest of my life I would go through periods of weight gain/inactivity and working out. With the periods of inactivity winning out. Recently, I saw some pictures of me from a vacation I was on and was surprised at how big my stomach looked, at 5'5" and 200 lbs I was well, on my way to helping the drug companies stay in business. :-) And this was after having been 170 lbs and completing one cycle of P90X! So I know this program works!
