I'm a wife and mother of two boys,16 & 11 years old. I've always struggled with my weight and as the years go on it's become harder and harder to keep it under control. I've used BeachBody products since 2006 and have gotten great results. I love a good challenge and am excited to see what the future has in store me.

Being a nurse I see everyday the affects of an unhealthy life style and it breaks my heart to know that if people could just make small changes over a lifetime it would make all the difference. I grew up with an overweight mother who is now obese and diet became a four letter word in my house. Through my mothers struggles I learn what didn't work and have managed to keep myself from following in her foot steps. Over the last 15 years my 5'6" body has gained and lost the same 30-40lbs, my heaviest weight (besides during my pregnancies) being 170lbs+.

My family and I love everything bike related and in Sept 2008 my husband and I did our first century ride down the coast of Maine, it was beautiful. After riding 100 miles I was so proud of myself and wonder what else I was capable of accomplishing.

So, my next adventure is running in my first half marathon in Sept 2009. Life is filled with so many exciting opportunity and I hope to experience a few of them.

2010 update: Well life has a way of getting in the way sometimes. Although I haven't been consistent I have continued to workout this year. My family and I had a major life change with a move from PA to NH for my husbands job, this took some adjusting to. Over the summer we ran a Christian camp and youth program at ABCCC, we had a ball but it was a lot of work. For 6 weeks prior to our move my husband and I were apart and I became depressed and food filled that void for me once again. I stopped working out and felt sorry for myself.

Once we were reunited I began to realize what I was doing and gained control. I began my workouts again and started eating healthier. In the mean time I was planning a missions trip to Uganda and left for 3 weeks in Septmeber, what an amazing experience! This left me once again distracted from my workouts and I fell of the workout wagon again. However the differnce this time was I had stuck with my healthy eating habits and only gained a few pounds back.

So right now I am going back to the basics with SI6 and then I will move on another program, haven't decided yet. I also finally join the Team Beachbody Club to give me an great advantage to succeed.

April 2011: Got great result with SI6 and have moved onto other BB products. Currently 10 pounds away from goal wieght and have gone back to running, training for a half marathon in August...one of my goals before turning 40. Life is only as compelx as we perceive it to be, if we change the way we view our world the world around us will begin to change.
