If I had a dollar for every time some one told me how lucky I am that I’m health and fit, I’d be a millionaire! The truth is, it’s not luck, it has been years of dedication, hard work, and commitment. However, I am lucky that I have been able to make a living doing what I am passionate about and helping millions of others along the way.

After graduating from college was quite chunky, about 20 lbs heavier then I am now with a not-so-solid 26% bodyfat. My transition from college into the “real world” was not so smooth and I continued to gain weight. I was always active, and even taught aerobics. But I was making all the common mistakes in terms of nutrition and lack of resistance training. Did I mention that I had horrible acne! I was extremely uncomfortable in my own skin, self conscience, lacked confidence, anti social and insecure. These are not the term someone would peg to the gal that is now one of the most recognized trainers in the world! But that is exactly how I’d describe myself 12 years ago.

I often just grin and think to myself “if you only knew” when people think I don’t understand how they feel to be overweight. I do understand. I honestly do. I too have struggled with my weight, my body image, and finding how to balance the ups and downs in life. The lessons I have learned along the way, most of them the hard way, have lead me to inspire millions of people achieve their goals. Everyone needs a little bit of help and support and that is what this is all about!
