Hi. My name is Trista, and I've decided on becoming a Team Beachbody coach in hopes of it motivating me to obtain my fitness goals.
I haven't always been obese, yes I'm obese, my bmi says so. In fact, I was a cheerleader in high school, and played softball on a women's league after high school. Of course, that was 10 years ago now, but the point is, I use to be much thinner. Hi. I haven't always been obese, yes I'm obese, my bmi says so. In fact, I was a cheerleader in high school, and played softball on a women's league after high school. Of course, that was 10 years ago now, but the point is, I use to be much thinner.
I let my life get the best of me in my early 20's and partied and drank much more than I probably should have. I was a heavy smoker as well (shocking, I know).
Eventually, I quit all that nonsense. No more partying days on end and no more smoking. Then I met my wonderful husband. I'm not sure if if was because I quit smoking, the depo shots (ladies, I know you are going to understand this better than most men) or being in a comfortable relationship, or maybe all three, but I gained 50 lbs in 3 years.
I slowly have lost everything about myself. I've lost my looks, my selfesteem and any confidence I ever had. I've been so depressed I don't do anything with or for myself anymore. I don't do my hair, or makeup anymore. I wear the same outfits over and over because the conceal the fat I'm trying to keep hidden, and I dread going shopping because often I leave the dressing room fighting back tears.
This has all lead to me making a resolution this year that I can't afford to break. My resolution was to lose 40 lbs or else I would have to eat a worm for every pound I didn't lose. I told my husband and stepkids about my challenge and started up a groups on facebook called "get skinny or eat worms!" Both my family and my group are holding me accountable for my actions, and I love that I'm able to help motivate my group as much as they motivate me.
