Many years ago, I used to be on and off with my workout schedule. I would commit for two or three months, end up with a week where I couldn't work out like normal for whatever reason, and then fall out of it. Then I'd get annoyed with myself and struggle to get back into the swing of things.
A girl I used to work with had introduced me to Turbo Jam, and I found that it is definitely the right workout for me! It was because of how much fun I had doing Turbo that I was finally able to buckle down and commit to regular exercise! I enjoy the moves, the fact that it's more "dance-y" than what I've done in the past, and the music gets me pumped! It's easy to keep your energy up when you feel like you're doing a dance routine to songs you actually recognize or can feel a beat to! And recently, I started doing ChaLEAN Extreme to help tone my body, and I have seen a SIGNIFICANT change in my strength, fitness level, metabolism, and energy level! I have also taken the leap to becoming a Turbo Kick and Hip Hop Hustle instructor.
I don't have your typical "before" picture because I never had a lot of weight to lose. For me, it was that I have never been comfortable with the flab around my middle and I have wanted to tone up. That is still a goal I am working on, but since I've buckled down, my leg muscles have gotten stronger, my arm muscles are defined (yeah!), and I can feel some tight ab muscles waiting their turn to be seen! I'm almost there! (And once I get there, it'll be all about maintaining.)
