I'm a medical laboratory scientist for the day job and I work in a hospital laboratory doing the various testing that aids in diagnosis. I'm the supervisor of the blood bank, so I mostly hang out in there. It's really quite facinating work!

I'm a 27 year old medical laboratory scientist. That means I'm one of the lab geeks hangin' out in the hospital lab doing all the tests on bodily fluids to help your physician make a diagnosis or follow your treatment. I'm also engaged, but neither me nor my fiancee want a huge, extravagant wedding. Even if we don't go all out, I *do* still wanna look good in all the pictures!

I was always a chubby kid and when I got into high school, I believe I had a mild eating disorder. I joined the track team (although I was a thrower and not a runner) and that in combination with me severely limiting my food intake, I got myself down to a size 5. Of course, I still thought I was hideously fat at the time. I maintained that until college the first time, and well... a lot of us here know what college does to us -- lots of beer and bad food and I really did get pretty chunky. My highest weight was just under 200 lbs. (196 to be exact) and that's a lot on a 5'4" girl! I tried various diets and workouts, but could never stick with anything for long enough to make any difference. Then in 2007, after seeing the infomercials forever, I gave in and bought Turbo Jam. I thought I'd hate it 'cause of how dance-y it was and I'm unbelievably uncoordinated. Who knew I'd be wrong?!

And the rest, as they say, is history!
