My personal motto: DO more, BE more...NOW! And, by exploring my online personal training website and the fantastic products Team Beachbody has to offer, you can do just that!
I grew up in Orange County, California where competitive swimming and water polo were popular sports. After swimming with SoCal Aquatics Club for 7 years, I joined the U.S. Air Force Women's Water Polo Team where I was their starting goalie for 4 years. In 2005, my co-Captain and I led our team to U.S. Nationals where we finished a proud 7th place, breaking previous Air Force Women's Water Polo Team records. Once I began my career in the Air Force, I established some new fitness hobbies and goals. I began teaching aerobic classes of all formats- Step, Cardio Kickboxing, Cycle, Yoga and Pilates and general boot camp and weight-formatted classes. When one of my best friends introduced me to Turbokick, I was hooked and went on to become certified in additional Turbokick formats- PiYo and Hip Hop Hustle. Along with my fitness career goals, my personal goals involve the art of figure competition. My competitive background includes placing at the RAF Mildenhall Ultra-Bodies show and the British Natural Bodybuilding Federation National Championships in 2008. I am working towards building my physique through targeted weight training and cardio-based activity and by establishing a structured diet regimen.
While I have academic goals of attending medical school in the near future, I am 100% committed to building an additional fitness career as a personal trainer, aerobic instructor, and Team Beachbody Coach! My hope in your visiting my online training site is that you will experience a renewed enthusiasm towards fitness, motivating yourself to excel beyond your previous accomplishments and succeed in meeting your future health and fitness goals. If you feel you need some additional encouragement, please feel free to engage in my online and/or club-based personal training- I am here to help YOU DO more, BE more...NOW.

Your objectives and goals within the fitness industry constantly evolve as your body transforms through life stages. Whether you workout to support your eating habits or to relieve stress or even if you're one of the privileged few who (gasp!) ENJOYS pushing yourself to new levels, YOU have a lifetime career in health and fitness! Some choose to direct that career into the corporate world where their passion becomes their source of income, while others may opt to retain that pleasure as a personal hobby. Regardless of all of the hundreds of clinical reasons to exercise daily, fitness is an integral part of your LIVELIHOOD that deserves adequate development to ensure that longevity, health and happiness are yours.
As a home-grown athlete, my workouts and concept of fitness revolved around competitive swimming. On average, I attended 6 3.5 hour workouts a week that included weight and/or dryland plyometric training, coupled with an additional 1 hour morning workout 3-4 times a week. This dedication to my training afforded me several opportunities, the best of which at one point entailed training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I had also experimented with other sports while growing up: gymnastics at a very young age and volleyball in elementary and middle school, but swimming was always the constant athletic passion in my life. When I graduated from high school as the Women's Swim Team Captain, I thought for sure I would continue excelling in my sport during my college years. However, several factors arose that ended up directing me towards the next stage of fitness in my life- water polo.
Despite the fact that I had never seriously played water polo prior to joining the U.S. Air Force Academy Women's Water Polo Team, I found that I possessed a natural talent for "the cage" and became their starting goalie my freshman year. I wholly enjoyed 4 seasons of comraderie amongst the team culminating in a trip to U.S. Nationals, but after graduating and moving to England, women's masters water polo teams were difficult to find. I rediscovered swimming by joining the Cambridge Masters Swim Team in Cambridge, England and rededicated myself to establishing a challenging training regimen. But by this time, I had discovered how to combine my passion for people with my enthusiasm for fitness and I also became a group fitness instructor at RAF Lakenheath. It was at this point that I began branching out to explore all types of fitness activities- from various formats of group exercise to breaking into and exploring the world of bodybuilding and figure. It is a sport of constant self-sacrifice, both in training and diet but at the same time, it is an entirely rewarding transformation. I still consider myself to be quite a novice competitor but am already several months into building a foundation that I hope will continue to carry over into the next several life stages of my personal fitness career.
