Like many, I was overweight for most of my life and it was always a source of embarrassment.

During my early thirties I worked out like crazy. I did high impact aerobics four times a week along with two or three long bike rides. I had tons of energy and while I was able to keep my weight at around 220 pounds, that was still far from ideal for a 6’ 1” tall man. I tried many different diets, lost a lot of weight and gained back even more.

By the time I reached my late forties, I had become a typical, middle aged computer professional with a family to support. I rarely got up from my office chair, nor did I watch what I was eating. My weight increased exponentially and my health was failing.

All of that changed dramatically when my wife and I started doing Turbo Jam at home. Our weight dropped, our energy increased and our marriage was strengthened. What’s more, we live in Orange County, California which enables us to attend live classes with Turbo Jam creator, Chalene Johnson.

Things got even better when we became part of a test group for Beachbody's newest fitness program – ChaLEAN Extreme. We learned about building muscle to burn fat. We also learned how to eat for optimal health and fitness. Beachbody's Meal Replacement Shake was our breakfast of choice. By the time we completed the test group, my total weight loss was 65 pounds!

Since then I've taken my workouts to a new level with Beachbody's P90X program. Tony Horton is an incredible fitness trainer and chin-ups are part of my regular workouts.

Life is a lot different now. My cholesterol levels and blood pressure are fantastic. I wear "thin people" clothes and I receive compliments from friends and family who all want to know how I did it. Being a personal coach is great because I help people get fit by sharing what I've learned.

In September of 2008, I won $1,000 in Beachbody's Million Dollar Body Contest.
