I am a single 53 year old caucasian woman who works the night shift as a mental health RN. I am x-military. I did 15 years in the Army and 3 years in the Air Force. I was honorably discharged in 1999. I am considered a disabled veteran due to some injuries resulting from a sky diving accident.

I am vertically challenged at 5 feet 2 1/2 inches tall, with a weight of 120 (good things come in small packages!). About 3 years ago I was very overweight at 205 pounds. I had some extreme challenges in my life back then (caring for my terminally ill Mom) and just did not take care of myself. Since that time I have learned a lot about exercise and nutrition. You would think as a RN I would know all about that but I did not.

My best quality is that I love the Lord with all my heart, mind and soul. I think most people would describe me as strong minded,unique, loving, fun and adventurous with a heart of gold.

I'm a person who likes to set goals for myself. Right now my goal is to be physically strong, firm, toned, muscular and defined. I would love to be able to run in place and not have anything shake in the process. No flab, no cellulite just firm, tight skin. I decided to do the P90X because I believe in the philosophy of muscle confusion and I believe this program will help me to meet all my goals.

Right now none of my friends are fitness minded. Many of them have that 50's mentality ("I'm in my 50's, I am suppose to look this way."). I on the other hand may be in my 50's but I do not think I look, feel or think like most woman my age. My younger co-workers (those in their 20's) often tell me they wish they had my energy level. I tell them to get up and exercise and they will.

I have never been big into fitness. I exercise because it makes me feel and look good. Spinning is my favorite cardio workout. When the weather is nice I enjoy roller blading or just going for a brisk walk.
