I am a country gal that loves riding horses. I have always been very independant and active that is until a few years ago. I went back to school to give my family and myself a better quality of life. I received my B.A. in Accounting while raising a family, and working two jobs.
Then mishap hit when I aquired carpel tunnel syndrome. At least that is what the doctors told me it was, and they sent me through a course of physical therapy for treatment.
I continued to work, until my problem got so bad that I couldn't. I once again filed a claim with Workman's Compensation for my hands, and they put me on a pemanant partial disability. I feel like this was a way for them to stop putting money into me because when I got worse then all the doctors started saying that they didn't know what the problem was and workman's comp washed their hands of me. Now I am unable to hold down a job, due to my hands, and I have been to 10 different specialists that all say they don't know what is wrong with me.
Needless to say it is extremely hard to stay positive, when I am unable to lift more than 5 pounds using both arms. I can't even saddle my own horse. I use to break my own horses and others for a living, and now I can't.
Anyway since I have had my physical limitations reduced I have found myself gaining weight. I have tried pilates, and I love the Winsor Pilates Sculpting Circle routines, although some of the moves are still beyond my abilities. I seen turbo jam and thought it looked fun, and like something I could do to maintain my muscle mass in my arms without adding more pain to them.
