I bought Power 90 in march 2006 after seeing a TV Ad. I am 5' 5 1/2" tall and
was 183lbs. at the time. I had never weighed more than 176 lbs. So I felt very
over weight. I started using P90 in May 2006. My goal at the time was to lose
20 lbs. I only did the P90 Sweat Cardio1 and 100 abs 4 to 5 times a week for
about 7 weeks and got down to 162lbs. I went thru a divorce in July. I also
worked 880 hrs of overtime in 2006 so I did not stick to P90 nor did I do it 90
days straight. Between July and November I did P90 Sweat Cardio and Sculpt
1-2 about 2 to 4 times a wk. I was stuck at 162 lbs. In November 2006 I
bought "Slim in 6" for my girl friend and we did the hard diet in the
"Slim in 6" diet book. I lost 8 lbs in 6 days. Then The next week I did
the 2 day fast using the Beach Body 2-day Fast Formula and lost another
6 lbs. I also stepped up my workouts to P90 Sweat Cardio 3-4 and P90
Sculpt 3-4 and 200 abs about 2 to 4 times a wk. In mid December I was
down to 141 lbs.
Jan to march 2007 I worked out 30 days straight and then 4 to 6 times a
week. I also worked out to the P90 5-6 Master Series.
I wanted to get more out of my exercise, so I bought a Power Tower for pull-
ups and dips. And then I bought a dumb bell set from 5 lbs. to 40 lbs. and a
Incline Decline bench for dumb bell use. Then I ordered P90X. My heart rate
monitor arrived the 1st week of April and now I am ready to do my P90x
Test. I started my 1st round of P90X on Monday April 16th 2007 at
4:45am. I finished the 1st round in 90 days and felt great.
During week 8 (Recovery Week) of P90X, I had to go to Hayward California
to work for 7 days. So I had to stay in a hotel room for 1 week. I did not
want to take a break from P90X, so I brought my DVD player, resistants
bands, heart rate monitor, Yogo mat and Yoga block with me.
I could not bring my weights on the airplane, but Core Synergistics
requires some resistance. So I bought a couple of 1 gallon jugs of water and
used them for weights. Thank you Tony and Beach Body for putting these
programs together. After I finished round 1 of P90x I slowed down on the
workouts. For the next 1 year and a half, I only worked out here and there
switching from Slim in 6 to P90 and then maybe twice a month. In late
November of 2008, I was feeling very out of shape. I had gained about 20 lbs.
and hit 160lbs. I decide to make another attempt to workout. I started back
with P90 3-4 for 4 days the first week and then 3 the second week and then
it was Christmas break and I stopped again. So I decide to go back to a strict
diet and P90X. I started my 2nd round of P90X on January 5th, 2009. I have
stuck to it and I am in week 5. I struggled at first, but pushed hard thru the
first month. I have lost about 10 lbs. of fat and gained about 3 lbs. of muscle.
On Monday February 2, 2009, I finally completed all of the Ab Ripper X
without stopping. My Beachbody coach Mark Briggs gave me advice to help
with my lower back pain and it worked. My goal is to finish this round of P90X
and start and complete my 3rd round right away. Then I plan to incorporate
