Highland Village, TX Being a Louisiana native, I naturally have a love of food. All of our family gatherings and celebrations revolved around the food and the drink. It was alot of fun, but it started catching up with me after the birth of my first child. For years, I have toyed with healthy habits, only to fail and be disappointed in the results. Over the past year, I decided to make a commitment to change. Being a Louisiana native, I naturally have a love of food. All of our family gatherings and celebrations revolved around the food and the drink. It was alot of fun, but it started catching up with me after the birth of my first child. For years, I have toyed with healthy habits, only to fail and be disappointed in the results. Over the past year, I decided to make a commitment to change. Things have finally started to click. I began exercising regularly, and added Shakeology to my nutrition plan. I'm finally starting to see results!
I joined Team Beachbody to surround myself with other health and fitness minded people. I wanted to receive encouragement and then share it with others. I want everyone to feel as energetic as I do.

I started my journey about a year ago, when my triglycerides were beginning to get closer and closer to the high end of a healthy range. Because Type 2 diabetes runs in my family, I knew what those numbers were indicating. I started working out with a trainer three times per week in late October. I felt much better just adding the activity, but I still struggled with my diet. I tried Shakeology in January 2010, and loved it! Since adding it to my nutrition plan, my cravings are gone and I've lost 11 lbs.
However, I'm not happy with my results. I know I need to kick it up a notch. So, on 4/19/10 I started the Lean P90X program.
In october 2009, I started at 187 lbs, a size 16 pant, XL shirt. As of April 2010 I am 175 lbs and a size 12 pant, L shirt (almost a Medium). My goal is to get to a size 6 pant and S/M shirt.
I plan to get there by following a balanced eating plan, drinking one Shakeology shake per day, and I'm gonna "BRING IT" 6 days per week on the Lean P90X plan for the next 90 days.
