Lodi, CA I am a 37 year old elementary school teacher. I live in Lodi, California. I come from a very strong cultured Mexican family, where tortillas and beans and rice were part of every meal. I have been married for 6 years and I have two little boys, one is 2 years old and the other is 4 years old. My parents live close by and help take care of our children while we are at work. I have been married for 6 years and I have two little boys, one is 2 years old and the other is 4 years old. My parents live close by and help take care of our children while we are at work. My husband is also in education and he is the Dean of Athletics at a High School. We are currentlly in the process of remodeling our home (the kitchen) and it is crazy but we are working it. I love to scrapbook photos and together as a family we are creating our home. I've been on the fairly thin side but always had that tummy bulge or a muffin-top hanging over the top of my jeans. I have always desired to be "skinny", admiring Victoria Secret models or celebrities in magazines. I always wondered how they did it or how achieving being as thin as they were was even possible. I'd even ask other "skinny people" how they achieved being thin and they'd always say, "I watch what I eat." Whenever someone said that, I'd always wonder...what does that mean, what is it that they eat? I always felt like I was the only one who didn't know the answer. Another factor in my life is my very strong-willed mother, has been a diabetic type II ever since she was in her 30's. She has struggled with her weight since she began having babies. Due to not understanding the right food choices it took a toll on her kidneys and she is currently a dialysis patient. My mother is a strong person to endure what she has to 3 days a week to survive. I appreciate the fact that she doesn't give up so that my two little boys can know her and appreciate the struggles she has gone through to make life better for us. I have learned to appreciate the importance of being healthy and being good to yourself. When I was introduced to Beachbody things changed for me ever since. "Skinny" is not the term I use anymore or desire to be. I am THIN, TRIM, TONE, and have muscle definition to me now. I feel healthy, very strong, and I have a "thin" feeling. What was I thinking back then? I have learned so much and obtained much more. My mother is proud and most of all I am happy that Beachbody has helped me to be proud of myself.

In the month of June 2006, I was trying to figure out a way on how to lose weight and get the figure I so desired. I have two small boys and there was no way I could have someone watch them consistently while I went to workout at a gym. Then, one evening I was watching T.V. and saw the Turbo Jam informercial. I wrote the website down and began checking it all out. That was the beginning of my journey on my transformation. I have done exercise in the past but never knew or understood how important the "eating" section of it all was. Whenever I dieted I always felt deprived and hungry. I'd even get angry and frustrated that how could being thin be possible. Little did I know that exercise and eating properly go hand in hand. When I had received my Turbo Jam program I figured I had nothing to lose, since I really couldn't go anywhere consistently with my children so, I followed the eating guide and the exercise program. I've never had shapely muscles in my arms or ABS. But, since I have been doing Turbo Jam and following the EAT section in the Turbo Jam guidebook I can actually see that it is possible. It was like magic! I am learning about what foods are good for me and what foods have empty calories. I get prepared in advance and have my plan set out ahead of time. I can actually see and feel a difference in my body, my personality, my skin, my breath, everything. It is amazing. I also get on the message boards often to keep me focused and on track. I learn so much from others that know what works for them. Since Turbo Jam, I have changed up to P90 for continued results. My body is ever-changing and it is remarkable to see the transformation. I now have a library of Turbo Jam and P90 DVD's and have been building up a library of books on nutrition, weight training, and cardio. It is a part of me and a journey that will help me live a HEALTHY, longer life. I am strong in many more ways now than just in muscles. I have always wanted to make a difference and I believe I am able to contribute value to the lives of others in spite of adversity. My character has been tested and I am growing. I believe I can do it. Many have asked of my experience and joined on. This is a postive step in helping America become a strong nation. We must take responsibility for ourselves and not add to becoming a burden to our countries economic resources with medical bills of heart disease, diabetes, etc. I have learned that long-term success relies on changing bad habits into good ones (which is a difficult one for me), and not just suppressing them for a short period of time. Willpower gives out! Beachbody has helped me find the way to succeed and having that balance that can last a lifetime.
