Washington, NJ I've been exercising on my own with TV/videos since I was in grade school! I was chubby as a child and wanted to gain control of my life. I was chubby as a child and wanted to gain control of my life. At around 12 I became a vegetarian and my parents thought it was a phase....well, 30 years later, I think not!! I'm not strict though, being that I eat seafood, eggs and dairy. I never stopped exercising and have always stayed up on the latest fitness system o' the year. However, at the age of 17 I was in a serious car accident and got whiplash amongst other things and the doctor did not treat me correctly leading to serious neck/headache pain moving into back pain when not addressed. I went to chiropractors for a while, but at the age of 18 (I don't let anything go for very long, ha ha,) I decided enough is enough and I'm not going to go to somebody for the rest of my life to "cure" me. I want to be able to cure myself and that's when I discovered YOGA!! Fabulous discovery, it was. I practiced daily and my neck/back issues (which you can see on an x-ray,)were practically none existent and if I stopped for a while and symptoms came back....pick the yoga back up and happy thoughts came back. By 19, I became an aerobics instructor at a woman's gym. It was a workout that I had made up for myself, interviewed, "auditioned," and got the job. I loved it, but, at the time, life got in the way... At around 38, I went to school to become an Interdisciplinary Yoga Instructor. Although I have not placed that into my career path just yet...I will. Then I discovered Turbo Jam and finally P90X. I absolutely love both and Chalene and Tony are true inspirations for me. I'm ready to get into schooling to become a personal trainer and then come up with my own creation, but I want the perfect body when I do get in front of however many people. I want to inspire people too!! :) Lastly, wait there's more...I suffered with Anorexia Nervosa as a teenager...and now my soon to be 17 year old daughter is suffering with the same thing although I did whatever was in my power to help her, being that I was once that chubby kid too! Full circle, ay??? Well, I figure, if I can show her that you can be extremely happy with your body and who you are while still giving your body all the nutrition that you need, than maybe I will set the example that she can one day (and hopefully one day VERY soon,) follow. I would love to be her inspiration! I can't wait to get started!!!!!! Dawn

I am feeling pretty good now, but I want better!!! I'm 5'3" and have no idea what my weight is and do not care!! (I gave up on the scale thing due to psychological reasons long ago!!) I wear a size 5 though, if that means anything! I want my legs and stomach to be cut. I have done massive ab work for years and am very strong there, but have never been cut and would LOVE to finally see that! I started TURBO JAM and had great results and am currently into my 2nd month of P90X and am seeing even more.
