I am begining this journey to get into the best shape of my life.

Like most people I had gotten caught up in my job and raising kids. In March of 2007 I decided to get back into shape because I was about to bust out of my 38" waist pants and was not happy with myself.

I had been an athelte in most of my younger life. I was very competitive in soccer, baseball, tennis, and martial arts.

In six months I managed to go from 240 pounds to 192 pounds. I was in great shape. Since then I have struggled with obstacles and shoulder injuries from lifting heavy weights. Every time I would get injured I would get depressed because I couldnt work out. Then I would start eating whatever I wanted. I have cycled up and down from 197 to 214 pounds due to the injuries.

It has been 4 months since I have been in a gym and I started back on 9/2/09. I purchased P90X and plan on starting on 9/21/09. I am simply in the gym now trying to wake up my muscles with low weight high rep supersets.

My goal is to use P90X to achieve the body and lifestyle I want to maintain and stay away from the heavy weights (200+ pounds) that keep injuring me.
