Hi my name is Angela and I'm an Independent Coach for Team Beachbody. I've struggled with weight my entire life - ultimately reaching 300 lbs in 2004. Eventually through both gastric-bypass and P90 I lost the weight. I learned though that I need to workout daily to be successfull and there is no quick fix. It's an ongoing process to stay fit and healthy and Beachbody has helped

I've started and stopped Power 90 a number of times since it first came out (yeap one of the first to purchase but last to complete) but couldn't seem to either commit or lose any weight. In June 2004 I went to the Highlands of Scotland for vacation. Well I was pushing 300lbs and couldn't do anything. I had just turned 31 and was having to sit on the bus with people in their 80's. When I got back to the states I knew something had to change. I realized I need more help and opted for gastric by-pass surgery. When I had surgery in October 2004 the doctor said I wouldn't lose much weight without working out. He wasn't kidding. I can't lose any weight without working out. I'm the odd case. Well I wasn't going to have had surgery and not gotten the results I wanted so...

My doctor and nutritionist said you can't even tell I had the surgery because I'm toned and healthy looking. Surgery isn't the answer for everyone, nor should anyone be thought less of for having it. It's just another tool like WOWY to that has helped me get my now much smaller butt in shape :)

This in Sept 2005 I went back to the Highlands in Scotland and took the exact same tour. There was nothing that I couldn't do. I hike through Glens, crossed rope bridges, went to Neist Point. All of which I couldn't do last year. The tour guide even said that I was pushing her to go further and faster on the hikes. She couldn't believe I couldn't took the trip last year. I literally conquered the mountain.

Fast forward to 2007 and I took an office position with my company and listened to all the people who were suddenly concerned that I was too skinny (i was sitting at 19% body fat and a size 0/2) and I stopped working out and gained 40 lbs.

Jump forward to Sept 2010 and I transferred back to a traveling position and started getting my eating under control but that was not enough so i started walking on the treadmill to get at least some exercise in as I finished moving back to Colorado.

Today is Jan 1, 2011 and I'm all set to go back to what works. I'm doing a combo of both Insanity and TurboFire. I know it sounds ambitious but I've been unofficially doing it for 2 weeks now and I'm ready to "Officially" get started on Monday. The goal is to drop the 40 lbs by the end of TurboFire and average about 3 lbs a week.
