My P90x Journey Part 2

Hey everyone, I'm back at it again. I ended my first round of P90x earlier this year and had to take some time off from lifting because I messed up my rotator cuff. Over the summer I spent a lot of time trying to strengthen my shoulder while bulking up. My plan was to bulk up over the summer and then do the P90x program again to tone up and get cut. This program is absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to see where I am on day 90. My goal is to beat my previous pictures.

I'm always looking for friends to keep each other motivated. If I can help you in anyway by giving tips or insight please ask. I love to help others achieve their dream bodies!

Current stats - 5'11, 178lbs, 10.9% body fat

My P90x Journey Part 1

August 2009 is when I officially began my quest to improve my body. However, I had done research for almost a year on P90x before I finally was ready to commit and believed that this program actually worked. Like many people, I was skeptical because I saw this infomercial on television and couldn't believe that a program could change someone so quickly and improve their health at such a fast pace that it could be real... but it is!

When I began my journey I was in ok shape. I'm 5'11 and at the time I weighed 165 with 13.2% body fat. I used to get tired every single day by the middle of the afternoon. I just felt disgusting and unhealthy most days because of the food that I put into my body. My biggest weakness was french fries and potato chips and I thought it would be very tough to kick that habit. But I made the decision that I would commit to the program and not look back.

The first couple of weeks were definitely the toughest. I had adapted to the new eating regimen pretty well but the workouts were very difficult for me. I struggled to hammer out a few pullups. There were days that I tried to convince myself not to do the workouts and would try to make excuses. But I had the support of my best friend and she gave me the motivation to continue. Once I passed my threshold and my own wall, victory was well on it's way.

This program is not for the faint of heart. It's about dedication, commitment, and it will test you. How strong of a person you are, not just physically but mentally. You have to want this to work for you, no one is going to do it for you. I have a modified version of a diet and do not follow what's in the book. What is great about this program is that there are modified moves in the workouts but also modified ways to make a diet work for you.

I'm very thankful that I have this program in my life. I'm in the best shape that I have ever been. I'm currently on day 106 (1/16/2010) and at 160lbs @ 6.2% body fat.

If you are wondering if it's right for you, take a chance, you won't regret it.

Good luck!

-Sean
