I'm a 35 year-old Investment Rep, and I thought I was 10 years past the best
shape of my life. That was before I started P90X. This week I'll complete my
first 'orbit' of the program, and I'm looking forward to starting again adding
P90x + to the mix.

I'm starting to take this fitness thing seriously, so I figured I'd sign up for
Team Beachbody for tips and support.

Tomorrow I'll be done with my first “orbit” through P90X. As I've completed
worksheets I couldn't help but notice how far I've come in 13 weeks –
especially in the number of push-ups and More ...

worksheets I couldn't help but notice how far I've come in 13 weeks –
especially in the number of push-ups and pull-ups I'm doing.

When I started in week 1 with Chest & Back I did all but 25 of the push-ups
from my knees. By the last week for Chest & Back (week 11) I was off my
knees entirely doing 26 push-ups during the first exercise, and a total of 161
during the workout.

Week 1 of Legs & Back saw me do a total of (and I swear I'm not making this
up) 1 regular pull-up. For the rest of the workout I used the green bands.
By week 3 I'd moved up to using a chair and putting away the bands. In week
8 the chair went away entirely for the first time. I got up to around 50 pull-
ups total.

I remember in week 1 hearing Tony say “don't say 'I can't do pull-ups,' say 'I
presently struggle with pull-ups.'” I thought he was full of crap. I've ALWAYS
sucked at pull-ups! Hell, I was one of the few kids who couldn't climb the
rope in gym class in kindergarten! I was never going to be any good at pull-
ups! Last week (week 12) I did 117. No chair, no bands, just 117 pull-ups
over the course of the workout.

Man...I wish I was 5 years old again! I'd show that rope who's boss! ;)
