I got into health and fitness in 2006. I dropped my weight from 2101bs to 185. Then in 2008 I incorporated some of the elements from P90x into my regular routine. My workouts included the following: Wind sprints TRX Suspension Training Universal Strength Apparatus Suspension Training Jumping rope Push-ups Mini Trampoline Free Weights once a week Squat Thrusts Bike riding to and from the gym Walking everywhere Tire Throwing and other functional training Running Stadium Steps Used the P90x Plyo and Cardio elements
With a overall healthy diet I managed to get my weight down to 165. When others began to witness my transformation I began assisting them with my notorious, grueling, & calorie busting workouts at the local track. Recently, I have allowed other obstacles (mostly extreme stress in my personal and professional life) to get my workouts off track. So I decided to join Beachbody and begin my pursuit of a healthier lifestyle and make the career change to the health and fitness industry which is my true passion. My goal here is to tone my body and to get that ripped look I had 2 years ago which I feel will be the best marketing tool to help me build my business while helping others.
I have always been a strong supporter of 'muscle confusion" and 'max interval' training techniques. The Beachbody products are all in alignment with my training methodology and provides fast results. Therefore, by becoming a Beachbody coach it was just a natural fit.

Back in early 2000 while on vacation in Myrtle Beach I went to an amusement park and went to the both where the young gentleman will guess your weight within 5 lbs. So I gave it a try I thought I had him when he guess 200 pounds well at the time I was 203. Shocked but not alarmed until later that year I went for a physical and I weighed in at my heaviest 215 lbs. Well on a 5'7" frame I decided this is not me. I felt I was a train wreck waiting to happen. Because I was so out of shape and had other health issues I had to diet and perform light exercise to loose weight before engaging into any serious program. So I eliminated junk food and soft drinks and stayed on a strict diet for 3 months consisting of just oatmeal, spring mixed salads with tuna, broiled fish, cereal with skim milk, and PLENTY of water. I combined this with walking my dog for over an hour a day at a very brisk pace and some recreational biking. I got my weight down into the 170 range but still flabby. So I joined a gym started lifting heavy weights and doing intense cardio. I bulked up but I was not satisfy with the results because I was not ripped I just looked 'puffy'.
Although, I was doing cardio my stamina was not up to par for a former track athlete. Noticed this when I took my soon to the track with me for a workout, he was 6 at the time, and he flat out dusted me around that track. I could not keep up with him so I knew I needed to do something else to improve my conditioning. I did so research, and found that I needed challenge my body and change things up but to keep it going so I started doing my own cardio/resistance circuit training. I ran stairs, jumped rope, sprinted, and performed basic calisthenics and grueling circuit formats and my conditioning and physique greatly improved. Then came P90x which I saw on a informercial and I saw so of the exercise and I was very impressed because some of the exercises where very similar to what I was doing. So I incorporated P90x with my routines and in a few months BAM, sixpack ripped beachbody. Now at 43 years old I am just trying to maintain may shape and overall health.
