My name is Otisa Nixon-Jones and I'm 46 years old. For majority of my adult life, I have been normal weight and fit; however, as I approached my thirties, I started gaining weight and got out of shape. Although I never gained more than 25 pounds above my maximum weight limit, I was still over weight, out of shape and not feeling good about my appearance. When I turned 34, I decided to get my weight back in order. I went from 190lbs down to 145lbs. It took me about 4 months. I did it with Atkins. I lost the weight; however, I wasn’t toned. In 2002, I purchased my first Beach Body Video. That was Power 90. I got toned; however, my results were not as great as I expected. I figured out later the reason why..I kept my weight off for several years until I decided that I know longer wanted to do Atkins. In 2004, I decided to 40, 30, 30. (This consisted of 40% of carbs, protein and fat). This worked out well for me. I also incorporated Slim in Six, Turbo Jam and a few other programs in my exercise routine. My biggest problem was that I love sweets. I started laxing on exercising and started eating whatever I wanted. As a result, I gained weight. In March 2007, my weight was 175. In April 2007, I had a hysterectomy. I was surprised that as I was trying to heal that I couldn’t fit any of my clothing that I wore the year before. While I was off work, I slowing tried to incorporate exercise back into my life. It was hard. I started off doing some walking, then, trying to do Slim in 6; however, I went back to Power 90 because Power 90 was my favorite. I managed to lose 10 pounds with dieting and exercising. I started seeing muscle development in my abdomen which I had not seen previously. I realized that when I did Atkins, my fat intake was very high. In order to see muscle development in your stomach etc, you need to take in a low to moderate amount of fat and not a high fat diet.
As the saying goes, life got in the way, I stopped exercising, increased my eating and gained weight. My weight climbed back to 190. In September 2008, I was in a car accident. I couldn’t exercise for several weeks. During that time, I saw the 10 Minute Trainer Infomercial. I decided to try it to get me motivated to working out again. I got my weight down to 170. It took about 4 months. It seemed as if it took more effort for me to lose weight, I was only eating about 1000 calories per day. I felt discourage and I purchased a Treadmill and an Elliptical Machine. The strange thing is that I started gaining weight while I was working out on these machines. I became bulky. In 2010, I decided that I had enough and that I wanted to lose weight. I had a few failed attempts in the earlier part of that year. Finally in July 2010, I decided that I was going to lose the weight. I went from 190 to 157 pounds. I lost 33 pounds by mid-September. I was eating 5 sensible meals a day, drinking 100 and ounces a day of water. I exercised and got smaller; however, not as toned and as defined as I would have like. During the holidays, I decided to allow myself to eat what I wanted. I did that and gained a couple of pounds. I’m not worried because I know that I have the tools to get the weight off quickly and in a healthy manner. More than likely within 2 weeks, I will have the weight off. My goal is to get my weight to 155 and to get toned, defined, lose a couple of inches off of my waist and get in the best shape of my life. With this New Year, I’m going back to my favorite DVD Power 90 and I’m also going to incorporate Shakeology. I'm not looking to be skinny; however, I do want to be fit, defined and healthy. I’m 5'9 inches and big boned, skinny doesn't look good on me especially at almost 46 years old.
Just recently I have decided to become a Beach Body Coach to spread the word about all the amazing products that Beach Body offers. This way I can help people get fit and in turn help myself stay motivated and stay fit. Let’s get fit and healthy together.

Initially when I started working out on 1/1/11, I decided to do Power 90. As of 1/22, I started doing Rev Abs as my primary workout. I love Rev Abs. Abs are so hard to get flattened and defined. Because of this, I decided to give this program a try. As of 2/25, I'm on day 34. I love the workouts. They are quite intense and challenging;however, I love the results that I have gotten so far. Now my diet hasn't been perfect and I haven't eating everything that I should; however, I'm not going to beat myself up. I'm going to continue to push and play and see where day 90 takes me. I plan on making improvements in my diet; in addition, I plan on sticking to the work out plan. My full transformation with weight, measurements etc... will be posted in April of 2011. Rev Abs Rocks!!!!!

Well, I’m finish with CLE and my Rockin Body hybrid. During the last 30 days of the program, I didn’t lose much weight; however, I became more toned and defined.
