Georgetown, KY Welcome to my page!! My name is Gina. I will take just a minute of your time and tell you my story:) I have always struggled with my weight, but I have always been interested in eating well and exercising. I feel like I have been on some type of diet my entire life! I had always been very athletic, but I had those thunder thighs I just couldn't shake. I was a High School & College Welcome to my page!! My name is Gina. I will take just a minute of your time and tell you my story:) I have always struggled with my weight, but I have always been interested in eating well and exercising. I feel like I have been on some type of diet my entire life! I had always been very athletic, but I had those thunder thighs I just couldn't shake. I was a High School & College athlete. In fact, I majored in Exercise Science and became a personal trainer. One day, I just burned out. I thought, I will never eat a chicken breast again!
10 years later, I was paying for my poor eating decisions. I weighed 198 pounds and was called "Obese" by that Wii game:( I had let myself go. Stopped working out. Indulged in a lot of delicious treats... You know how the story goes. I got discouraged, gave up, got motivated and repeat.
Last year, I signed up for a Biggest Loser Challenge at my local gym. It was just the spark I needed. I was competitive, I love free t-shirts and what if I happened to lose some weight!! Plus, we were in teams of 3. NO WAY was I going to disapoint my teammates! So... I give it 100% for 60 days. And you know what? My team did not place, but I came in first amongst all the females!! Yeah!! 18 pounds down in 60 days. WOW!! Words can't explain my excitement. I worked out in the gym doing weights. Did Turbo Jam 2-3 x week for my cardio and ate 5-6 meals per day. I continued for another 30 days and lost another 10 pounds! At 5'3", that means I went from a size 16-18 to a size 8-10.
I have asked myself, what was different that time? The answer is support, 100% commitment and a challenge. That is what I am offering to you. Sign up for the Beachbody Challenge. I have been fat to fit to fat and now, fit again. I understand how it feels to be trapped in the cycle of wanting to change, wanting so bad to lose weight. Getting so pumped and motivated, only to fail. I have tried pills, juicing, fasting, starving, eat no meat, eat no carbs, eat only raw, eat low fat...only to fail. I still have a fear of the scale, it has never been my friend. I threw it out awhile ago! Last year, I watched as a friend of mine literally shrank before my eyes! There I was in zumba each week with her, I stayed the same, she shrank! I saw her post one day about Beachbody, I stepped out of my comfort zone and said sign me up- I'm frustrated, desperate and need help! BEST decision EVER!! Shakeology, my support group and Insanity & p90x has gotten me in the best shape of my life!! And, it continues to get better!! And, from the inside out! My bad cholesterol went down & good cholesterol went up and is now excellent. When my Dr. took my Oxygen levels and pulse, she called me an "athlete!" Best words ever!! I am 1/2 the size I used to be! I went from a size 16/18 to a 8/10. I ran in the Warrior Dash and the Tough Mudder last year, I can't even believe it!! I am now paying it forward by being a coach. Beachbody has changed my life, given me my life back!!
