Well, I grew up in a small town of Ohio. I was always active in sports, but never super fit. After a couple years of bad luck, I decided to enlist in the military. My first station was down in Miami. There, they go by the motto "work hard play hard" which is what i did. I played to hard. Then i started packing on the pounds. I went from 156 to 195 in 1.5 years. Eating junk and drinking was my lifestyle. Although, working out never really left sight of me, it wasnt enough to keep up with the lifestyle i was in. It went on for 8 years. I have not changed much physically, besides the beer gut, the lifestyle has taken a toll on other aspects of my body. I was suffering deep depression. My docter decided to put me on an antideppresants back in 2007. I took it for nearly 2 years, until all the good effects decided to go south. I was nausaes, having killer headaches, and extremely irratable around other people. I decided to come off the drug with no advice on how to do so. That was probaly the worst mistake ive ever made. Everything that i was feeling was now trippled. I ended up in the hospital 2 weeks later. At that point i decided that there is no drug that can make me happy, if there is, it sure isnt worth it. Then i thought to myself, what makes you happy in life? The answer was crystal clear in my mind. Being in shape. Thats the only drug i need. I feel energetic, less irratable, and my confidence sky rockets. I like to share my experience with many people out there. There are other ways to be happy, working out, being active, being social. As for me, i discovered my happiness did not come in a bottle at a local pub, or a pill from the pharmacy. It came in the mail, it came at the local gym, it came in whatever way im going to train my body next. It came in being in shape. My start date on the beach body is 10AUG09
