In addition, I recently just set out on my newest adventure of opening my very own gym in my home town. It's grand opening went fantastic and I am now training 4-5 clients daily. My Business is growing steadily and I am very excited about the future. I began working to get back in shape after having my daughter and about 3 years ago My Husband and I decided to try out P90x. We did it off and on (due to injuries we obtained playing soccer) for over a year and LOVE IT!! We still recommend it to our friends. Tony Horton has inspired me and I have begun training more and MORE and in turn found the confidence to start my own company and open my own gym. My Nickname is "FREAK" cause I work out anywhere from 2 to 3 times daily and up to 5 days a week. I do an average of 10-12 workouts a week (Every thing from Boxing, to Plyometrics, to Running, to Weight Training) I really am a FREAK about it. I absolutely LOVE to workout and I sincerely LOVE being a Personal Trainer as well. It is my calling to be a Personal Trainer and a Motivator...I have no doubt about that. I began my Journey back in February of 2008. My only Daughter was two and a half years old and I had not lost any more of my baby weight since the day she was born. I was miserable and felt so awful about my appearance. I struggled with depression and hated that I was the heaviest I had ever been, NOT PREGNANT! I was also only 23 years old and had no excuse to be so inactive. I played Soccer once a week in a co-ed rec league, but other than that, didn't do much except complain about how fat I felt. My Husband and I began doing P90x in Feb of 2008. We made it to about day 78 together and my husband broke his ankle and was in a cast for 12 weeks. I continued doing the routines on my own and got in pretty good shape, but not at all where I wanted to be yet. I was going through my 2nd set of 90 Days when I tore my ACL and Messed up my Meniscus disc in my Left Knee and had to have surgery. I was in a FULL LEG cast and on bed rest for 8 weeks. Then I had 4 months of a very SLOW recovery with no real working out allowed. Needless to say, I lost all muscle tone I had worked so hard for and gained 110% of my weight back. I was miserable and depressed again. It was in February(2009) when my Sister called me and asked me if I would be interesting in joining her in a BootCamp class held at a Local Gym. I jumped at the chance to get up and workout with people who would keep me in check. I attended the Class four days a Week (all the classes they offered at the time) like clock work. Never missing a Single Class from February til April. It was in April that I got in a conversation with the Owner of the Gym and he found out that I used to be a Personal Trainer at Gold's Gym. He asked me to get re-certified and become a Boot Camp Instructor at His Gym. I started working there as an instructor in April 2009 and am still there currently. Things were going great until Sept 2009 when I tore my Meniscus Disc in my Left knee again, playing soccer. I had surgery BUT was back to work two days later teaching the classes again. Like I said, I am still there currently and am now teaching AND attending up to 11 Classes PER WEEK EVERY WEEK! All the Classes I don't teach, I still attend as just another client, and all the classes I do teach, I do the class with my clients. I refuse to be a teacher who just tells everyone what to do and just stands there and watches them do it. I feel my clients have a lot more respect for me if they see me in there working just as hard as them. I was still weighing in at 154 lbs as of August 20th. 2009 But I am currently now at 140 lbs. I now weigh less than I did before I got pregnant and am smaller than I have EVER been before! I now know and believe with all my heart, with a little Perseverance and Determination, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE! We are all thrown obstacles in life, but it's up to us how we overcome them. They can either become a road block that causes us to STOP dead in our tracks, or we can use them as an obstacle course and work our butts off while we overcome what ever it may be! Never give up on yourself. You are stuck with you, so get up and get in shape, take hold of the reigns and your future and get healthy. If not for you, for you family, your parents, your spouse, your kids...No matter who you are, you have SOME ONE who depends on you to be there...Don't let them down. Get up and get Healthy!
