I am 36 years old and I have 4 children (son, 13, daughter, 10, son 9 and son that will be 8 in 6 days). I was athletic growing up but once I started having kids, all that stopped!!! When I met my husband in 1989, I weighed 90 pounds! I am almost 5 ft tall (my husband says 4'10" but I think it is more 4'11"). I was very muscular. I was not underweight for my size. I was never really able to get below 108 once I had my first child...which was ok as I was 100 pounds when I found out I was pregnant in 1994. I don't want to get that low, but I would like to strive for 110 to 115. For my small body frame, I think that is what I should be at my age. I do know that muscle weighs more than fat so as long as I can get into some of those old jeans I have held on to I will be happy! I just want to be sexy again (even though my husband still thinks I am)! I haven't worked out in a long time so I am going to have to start out slow, I know. I have a lot of work ahead of me. I have low back pain so I really need to get some of this weight off and muscle up but I know that is going to slow me down as well.
I currently weigh somewhere between 140 to 145. My husband is getting ready to get deployed overseas so I am hoping that by the time he gets back, I will have a noticeable change! He is expected to be gone 6 months but that could possibly turn into a year, we aren't positive at this time.
My husband took my before pictures and measurements and I was very saddened to find that one of my thighs was about as big around as my waist! I have not taken an actual weight as my scales are broken but last time I was at the doctor with my son last month, I was 142 and fluctuate within those 5 pounds above.
I can't wait to get started! As there are so many work out routines out there, I hope I chose the one that is going to keep me motivated and help me reach my goal!
