I'm so excited! 2010 is here and I'm feeling extremely motivated. Last year around this time my family and I decided we needed to get in shape. We set up our own Biggest Loser competition and helped motivated each other. Last year they completed a half marathon; I made working out and eating healthy a habit. :) My goal for this year is to maintain my 30 pound weight loss from my heaviest, continue to make fitness fun, and challenge myself to do things I never thought possible. In the beginning on 2009 I did Chalean Extreme (a beachbody.com program) and even started my own little Chalean Extreme group on sparkpeople.com. That was HUGE motivation for me because we all started the program on January 5th 2009 and I lost almost 20 pounds on that program alone. So I thought it would be really cool to start this year off the same way. Today I'll be starting another round of Chalean Extreme and I'll be finished on March 21, 2009.

My game plan is to kick butt on this round of Chalean Extreme and reduce my bodyfat % (I dont have a weight goal because I don't really know what is realistic for my build and I think that scales are evil). Right now I'm about 21% bf and the average figure competitor is between 9-15%. After I complete CX I'm probably going to work with a trainer so that I can learn how to pose and if there are any issues with symmetry they can help me work through that. Most of the competitions that I've been looking at competiting in are in October or November. There is a local NPC show in August but Im not really sure if I'll be able to compete in that because I'll be on vacation in Ocean City the week before. I don't think that I could go there and not have dippin dots and not have access to the foods I need.

From now on I'll be using this blog to track my progress and to show the progression of the figure suits that Im sewing myself. :)
