Hi, my name is Ashley Lee and I'm a disabled veteran of the US ARMY. I was so excited and pumped about the results I achieved in just 90 days with P90X that I decided to become a BeachBody Coach to help others enjoy similar results with BeachBody products. A little biographical information about myself: I'm and avid martial artist and love spending time with my children and family. Over the

When I started P90X I was 250lbs. I have a muscular build but had developed the dreaded "spare tire" that most men my age have. I have actively study martial arts for the past 10 years and even though this type of training consists of very physical and often exhausting workouts I still struggled with my weight. I would lose between 3-6 lbs of water weight per training session (depending on intensity) and within a day or two I would put the weight back on.

At the age of 34 I had the scare of my life. I had started having what I thought were panic attacks. I was traveling quite a bit at that time and so I just blew it off as stress. Unfortunately the attacks got worse and I ended in the hospital where it was discovered that I had an 85% blocked coronary artery! Fortunately they were able to stent it and I was sent home a couple of days later. For the next few months I was afraid to do anything so I just sat on the couch and tried to eat healthier. After a few months I decided that I should begin exercising and started my martial arts training again. However, I didn't change my
diet. Six months after I had to have a second stent put in to open the first stent up because scaring had closed it by 50%. You would think this would knocked some sense
into me to get serious about my health. Nope, since all of my blood work came back as perfect (my cholesterol was only 108 with an LDL or 46) I thought I was ok to eat whatever I wanted. Little did I realize that I wasn't done with my heart trouble. Three years later and two days before
Christmas 2008 I was at a martial arts clinic and began having chest pains. I ended up back in the emergency room and had a 3rd stent placed to open the two previous tents. For some reason the scar tissue just keeps growing.

While lying in my hospital bed I made a commitment to drop 30 lbs and to get into shape. But I could never figure out how to do it. I didn't have the time to go to the gym to lift weights and go to my martial arts classes. Besides my wife wouldn't have been too happy with sacrificing more nights away from home than I already took for training.

One night in late Feb 2009, while sitting on the couch, I saw a 30 minute P90X commercial. I was a little skeptical because I wasn't sure about working out in front of the TV or if I could even do the work outs but the more I watched the more convinced I became that this is what I needed to get back into shape. I believe that what has been missing is a good diet plan coupled with the muscle confusion that P90X brings. I decided to purchase P90X, the Chin Up bar, the complete set of resistance bands, the Recovery Formula, and the Multi Vitamins that night. It took about a week to get my order and during my wait I was getting so excited about starting the program that I was telling people I work with "just wait until I get through 90 days of P90X".

That entire week seemed to last an eternity! Finally the
day came when I received a huge package at the door. P90X was in the hisouse!! That night I took the fitness test and then woke up at 5:00 am the next morning and began my transformation.

I'm two weeks away from finishing the program and I'm very close to my goal. I've lost almost 18 lbs and over 5" in my waist. I've gained some significant muscle definition in my shoulders, chest, arms and I am even seeing muscles in my abs that haven't shown themselves since I was 25 years old!! My transformation isn't complete but it is well on it's way. One thing’s for sure...even though this is a 90 day fitness program, for me this is a LIFE fitness program and I can't imagine a better place than BeachBody.com to come and share my experience with you. This site has truly helped to keep me motivated and educated on everything dealing with fitness to include the proper way to diet. I look forward to filling you in on my transformation story as it progresses and to someday soon becoming a BeachBody coach to help others achieve similar
success. Stay tuned.
