Tucson, AZ I am 49 years old and a workaholic (say my friends). I love learning new things. I get excited about challenges. I think I am really a playaholic. I was my normal feel great weight, 150 lbs in 2003, but since then have gained 60+ lbs. How could I of all people fall into such a state? How could I of all people fall into such a state? My stress levels were high, and I was not the happy person I was before. I had a son in Iraq proudly serving our country, and a teenage son that was struggling through his last years at home, and facing layoffs at work as the company I worked for downsized. I let the stress and anxieties take over. I let other influences take over that were not healthy including my food choices. I began eating to relieve the anxiety or depression. A favorite stress reliever was a candy bar or two a day. Fast food was often a choice because I had no energy to plan and prepare anything healthy. I weighed 217 lbs by the fall of 2007. My blood pressure was increasing, I had pain in my feet and knees. My health was starting to decline in many areas. I tried losing weight by training for a half marathon, or working out at a gym, but the results were meager and I quit after 2 months each. One day I came across an infomercial for Tony Horton’s 10 Minute Trainer. I checked it out online, and felt confident I could commit to 10 minutes to work this program. What a difference this program was. I didn’t have to plan the meals, the Beachbody website planned a perfect doable menu for me. I started taking Activit Metabolism supplements at the same time. The workouts left me with energy to spare. I began walking outside after the workouts. After 30 days, I lost 15 lbs. It has now been 50 days. I have am 30 lbs less than last year, and 15” smaller on major measurements. My energy is back. My jolliness is coming back. My stress isn’t killing me any more.

I worked through Tony Horton’s 10 Minute Trainer for 30 days, and have now started Power 90, and what a difference! I was doing nothing before except perhaps a 15 minute walk 2 times a week at lunch with coworkers. My energy was so low before that I would not even get up and walk outside. I have been trying to lose weight for the last year, but keep gaining. I have not been less than 200 lbs in over 18 months though I have trained for a half marathon, hiked these mountains by my home, and worked out early morning in a gym for 6 weeks. It is amazing to me the difference something so little as 10 – 30 minutes of working out in front of the TV each day has made over the hours I was spending on the weekends before. So what is the difference? One major thing is that I immediately started the Beachbody suggested diet, Low Carb Express, and committed to push PLAY. I come home and before I sit down, I change and push play. Now, I have energy to do more by either a longer exercise set, or a walk outside. The weather is gorgeous, sunsets beautiful, and I feel wonderful. I even like the Low Carb diet! I am paying attention to how I feel when I have the meals. I am satisfied, and stay satisfied until the next meal. Then, week 3 I worked harder, ate less, and didn't lose weight. But, I did lose inches and my estimate body fat went from 31% to 28%. I think I wasn't eating enough this week. Week 4, I carefully followed the plan and did three 10 minutes a day. Wow! I lost weight again! After just 30 days, I lost 15 lbs and 10 inches. Check out the picture. It really is noticeable! What I love is that I am so comfortable with this type program with the diet, supplements, and support on the website, that I feel I really can do this as a lifestyle change.
