Welcome, my name is April and I'm 35 yrs old. I'm originally from Las Vegas, Nevada and moved to sunny San Diego, CA about 10 years ago. I'm really looking foward to being your coaching and assisting you in a active & healthy lifestyle.
While living in Las Vegas I trained in Muay Thai Kickboxing for several years, and played soccer on a co-ed soccer league. I moved to San Diego at the end of 1999, and was married a year later. I married a professional skateboarder, whom was very active and maintain a very healthy diet. Health and fitness was always an important thing in our household. I was a vegetarian for a couple years and even tried the microbiotic diet. Now I eat everything except red-meat, drink shakes, and take supplements. My greatest downfall when it comes to a healthy diet is, soda. I love Pepsi and have cravings for it all the time. Caffeine is really bad for my body, so I try to drink all natural green teas in place of the sodas. As we get older, have a family, and career to maintain we find it hard to focus on a healthy diet and 3-5 day a week fitness schedule. However, it can be done! I'm now enjoying the single life, but found that I wasn't eating as healthy, because I'm not cooking like I use too. I tend to snack on junk throughout the day. Now with Beachbody I have put together a healthy diet plan with easy to cook meals for one person, and it's really changed my life. As an Accounting Manager for a Biotech Company I find myself working at least 50 hrs a week. I sit at a desk 9-10 hrs a day, with very little exercise. I get up in the morning and workout to a Beachbody DVD for 30 mins. This gives me energy and motivation for the day.
Beachbody is really changing my life. I now work as a part-time Beachbody coach and plan to cut down my hours as Accounting Manager very soon. The economy has been really bad and projects are slowing down, so being a Beachbody Coach has been a perfect opportunity for me. I look forward to becoming a full-time Beachbody coach within 6-12 months, and have more time to do things I really want to do. I love being active, so having more time to be outdoors and being active is my #1 goal. I work out about 3-5 times a week, and plan to get back into kick boxing on a regular basis once I become a full-time Beachbody Coach.
