I am 39 years old, have three kids, and have been married for 15 plus years. I now weigh in at 245 and am in the worst shape of my life. I have big goals for this year for my fitness and I will get there.

My name is Bruce Martin I am an average man of 39 years old. Most of my life I have spent in fitness, trying to make life an adventure when it came to being physically fit. In high school like a lot of guys I played football. I loved the discipline and work it took to play. The feeling of accomplishment when i had put in a hard practice. The feeling of excitement when winning a game. And that started my passion of wanting to be Physically fit. About six years after my high school football career I began racing mountain bikes and started a career in plumbing. It was hard work but I was okay with doing what it took to win a race, or get a job done. I was involved in a car accident later that caused a bad injury in my neck. I had to stop plumbing and soon became a fitness instructor. Still trying to keep up with being fit. So like I said I knew what it took to get into shape. But even in knowing and doing all that, I never really reached the point of being totally okay with my body. There seemed to always be one thing or another that needed to be adjusted. After recovering from my neck injury I went back to plumbing. A career that I was beginning to enjoy. In 2003 I blew out my back, and the doctor said it was the worst blown disk he had ever seen. And it took me out of work and off of my feet for eleven plus months. During this fall back I gained a lot of weight, and that started a period of my life where I lost the discipline it took to get back to where I wanted to be. I lost that sense of excitement and adventure to become and stay physically fit. And since then i have tried numerous things to lose weight and get in shape. All with little to no success, and i seemed as though my metabolism was gone. I felt like I would never be in good shape again. And never have that joy of knowing I was taking such good care of my body and who I was. I later was introduced to Power 90 by a customer of mine, but didn't truly think I would have any success with it. But I wanted that discipline and joy back, and decided to do it, and i wanted to do it every day. My results were soon showing and better than I had ever seen with any other program I had used. I feel like I am just getting started on this road of being fit and in shape. I have only done this for 90 days, but it has been a great 90 days that I have wanted in years. And i am really excited and getting ready to do the p90x workouts. I cant wait to see where that will take me. Thank you very much for giving me a second chance at being healthy!
