Henderson, NV Hi! Welcome to the Team Beachbody (TBB)community! I'm Debi and I'm inviting you to join me in the quest for better health and fitness. I'm married with two daughters. I hit the big "5-0" in 2009! I was always fit and healthy until I started my family, in my early 30's. I packed on a few pounds then, but nothing major. I ran a few 1/2 marathons, did a sprint distance triathlon, and even the Boston Marathon in my mid 30's. But my allergies caught up with me and I developed asthma, and quit exercising. I packed on more pounds which didn't help my asthma. Now I'm managing my allergies and asthma and I'm ready to get back into shape.
This community offers information and support to help you lose weight and get in the best shape of your life. It takes some work. Nothing worthwhile was ever easy, right? Your health and fitness are important. Together, we can meet our goals of getting fit!

A challenge was issued for the women where I work. A sprint distance triathlon event at the end of April 2007. What better way to get motivated and push yourself into a regular work-out routine! I accepted the challenge and started exercising in January. I was feeling goooood! Unfortunately, seasonal allergies caught up with me and I got sick in February. It took me several weeks to recover. I didn't do the triathlon after all since my Allergist advised against exercising outdoors. Sometimes, things don't always go as planned. Be willing to adjust and make necessary changes, and always keep sight of your goals.
*** 2008 *** Ok, triathlons aren't in my future! However, it's a new year and new goals should be made in order to keep moving forward. I started walking/running in hopes of doing a half marathon in late August, but I'm suffering from plantar fasciitis - so perhaps running isn't right for me anymore.
I continue to workout - with P90, walking/running on the treadmill or biking on an exercise bike. The exercise DVDs are great for when it's difficult to exercise outdoors. I'm in the Las Vegas area and it's too hot outside most of the time.
