Vista, CA After turning 40-yrs old, I began to see my weight increase gradually. That was 6 years ago, and I've noticed that losing those 10 extra pounds isn't as easy as it used to be. I cut back on my portion sizes and lost one pant size, which was great. But, then I started noticing my strength decreasing. That really concerned me, so I decided I needed to start weight training to re-build muscle. I After turning 40-yrs old, I began to see my weight increase gradually. That was 6 years ago, and I've noticed that losing those 10 extra pounds isn't as easy as it used to be. I cut back on my portion sizes and lost one pant size, which was great. But, then I started noticing my strength decreasing. That really concerned me, so I decided I needed to start weight training to re-build muscle. I joined a gym, but got bored really quickly. Then I saw the infomercial for P90X, and I was intrigued. I loved its design using muscle confusion and variety. That was in March. I completed my first three months, and felt much stronger! I really didn't watch my diet that closely, so I didn't see the excess fat melt away, but feeling stronger was more important to me.
I was very fit as a young person, but I was very active, too! So, I want to keep up with my daily regime of exercise so I can get back into shape. I love hiking and being outdoors. I've noticed while hiking that I have more stamina after starting the program. So, that's also a benefit.
I recently ordered the 10-minute trainer series, so I won't have any excuses on those days when I feel I just don't have enough time to exercise. I want to stay active as I age, because when you give in to your aches and pains they get worse!! :)
