McKinney, TX Hi my name is Brandon, I am 30 years old, and my wife Amy and I live in McKinney, Texas. I am a City Planner and really enjoy what I do. I love to spend time with my beautiful children (Riley-5 and Hudson-3). I enjoy golfing, P90X'ing, running, and basically anything outdoors. In my previous lazy life I would play video games until all hours of the night, and eat around the clock!

My name is Brandon, and I live in McKinney, Texas, just north of Dallas. My wife Amy and I have been married almost 8 years now and have 2 beautiful children. Amy and I have always been on some type of diet whether it be low-carb or low-calorie, and our working out over the years has been nothing shy of sporadic. I was always a bit bigger than most of my friends growing up in school (I'd like to think of it as being "husky"), but by the time I was a freshman in college I weighed nearly 245 pounds and was in need of a change.
I was able to lose about 55 pounds in a year just by watching what I was eating, but rarely worked out, and definitely needed some help in the body shape department. By the time I married Amy, I weighed about 185 pounds and was fairly content with my weight, but certainly not the look of my body. My love for unclean foods and general laziness limited my health, sucked out all of my energy, and if I could be totally honest with myself... put me into a bit of a depression about what I looked like.
In January of 2009 my wife and I DVR'd a show on TV called "How to get Ripped in 90 Days". It sat in our list of recorded shows for about a week, and then we decided we would watch it one night. Once we started watching, I realized it was just another workout infomercial (P90X), but some of the moves looked so ridiculously hard (corn cob pull-ups) it was hard to turn it off. We watched the entire 30 minutes, full of pessimistic comments were shot back at the TV, and then we turned it off. We both said to ourselves, “yeah right!”. Just another gimick. I knew that my favorite truth-teller search engine, would have to have some info on whether or not the P90X DVDs really worked or not. I found a ton of home videos on a site that had transformation story after transformation story. At that point, I started to feel a bit of the excitement that I had seen from all of the others that had completed the P90X program. My wife and I agreed it was time to order the P90X DVDs. To make things easier we already had a set of dumbbells out in the garage that hadn't been used in years, we already had the DVD player, we both were living and breathing, what else did we need (other than a pull-up bar)?
We started our first round of P90X on February 16th and just finished on May 17th. I did not miss a workout, I ate clean 90/90 days, we planned out our nutrition in accordance with the nutrition guide and found that the forums on Team Beachbody were PRICELESS for knowledge, advice, and encouragement! Now that I have finished the first round of P90X, my overall health, energy, and look has changed completely. I am so excited to know that I have just added many years to my life through better eating and consistently working out. What makes it more ridiculous is to think that I had been throwing pity parties for myself for so long about my weight, and it only took 90 days for an extreme transformation!
I have gone from having all the wrong ideas about nutrition and working out, to being someone that others trust to come to for advice about eating and working out. Many of my co-workers have seen the change and have now ordered P90X themselves! My wife and I are on to round 2 of P90X and continue to wake up everyday ready to Bring It! Thanks to everyone that has been a part of our journey here on Team Beachbody and to my lovely wife! This program will change ANYONE willing to just push play every day!
