Health and fitness has always been a priority to me (although my actions in the past would tell you otherwise lol). I was born and raised in Utah and I enjoy many outdoor activities like hiking, tennis, biking, lacrosse, basketball, and snowboarding. Health and fitness has always been a priority to me (although my actions in the past would tell you otherwise lol). I was born and raised in Utah and I enjoy many outdoor activities like hiking, tennis, biking, lacrosse, basketball, and snowboarding. I would like to get into rock climbing and mountain biking again too!
I struggled in the past just like most people do with being healthy, eating well, and working out consistently. It got so bad that I had found myself chronically fatigued, waking up with pains all over my body (when I hadn't done anything physical to be in pain), and my heart and chest area was even having pains. At age 25 at the time, that really scared me. I've been able to transform my body, my health, and thus my life using P90X®. My life literally did a 180 in 90 days after I committed to and finished the program. It was an INTENSE 90 days, but worth every drop of sweat. I decided to become an Independent Beachbody coach shortly after to hopefully inspire others, motivate, mentor, train, and help others who are struggling to do the same as I had and transform their bodies, their health, and their lives.
Shortly after becoming a Beachbody Coach, I also decided to get my personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I don't think I would have ever wanted to be a personal trainer, but knowing HOW GREAT YOU FEEL INSIDE from just being in great shape and eating healthy, I wanted to be able to share that with people in and outside of the gym, personal training was a great avenue to help me do that.
One philosophy that I've been inspired by is “Do Your Best and Forget the Rest” those of you who know P90X® and Tony Horton, knows he says that all the time. And I truly believe that if you follow that philosophy in ANYTHING that you do, not just working out, you'll be able to sleep better at night and YOU WILL eventually reach your goals by doing your best and sticking to a plan.

Just a little over one year ago (nov 2008), these are just a few things I was doing and/or struggling with.
- I ate out 4-5 times a week. - I drank and partied way more than I should have. - I was in an unhealthy relationship. - My health and fitness were the least of my priorities. - I was in school, but wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life. - I was semi-depressed and probably was depressed after my relationship ended, but just didn't know it. - I was chronically fatigued and falling asleep EVERYWHERE, in class, in movie theaters, in cars. - After sleeping at least 8 hrs, I was still tired and never wanted to get out of bed. - I was unmotivated, undisciplined, lacked self-confidence, and self-esteem. - I woke up with lower back pains and neck pains. - I was not happy with the person I saw in the mirror. - I put on a smile and happy face in public, but in reality...inwardly I felt awful and unhappy. - I was moody and easily irritable, but kept all the emotions inside.
I was in a RUT. I hated being in it. I was never like that in the past and I was unhappy because I was disappointed with myself and how far I had let myself slip into my slump.
Finally, on March 8, 2009 I TRULY DECIDED that enough was enough! I needed to get my life back together beginning with my health, because my poor health was affecting all areas of my life in a negative way. I had heard about the P90X program and was skeptical at first and wasn't sure if it would really work or not, but after looking at all the reviews and online testimonials I figured that this program is the real deal. And I was right. The pictures you can see on my profile speak for themselves. Beachbody programs WORK if you are willing to put in the work. I love Beachbody and their programs, it's completely changed my life around in more ways than you could imagine.
