I'm an occupational therapist, and lift heavy patients at times. I also volunteer in my fire dept. as an EMT, and do A LOT of heavy lifting there. I always knew I had to build my upper body strength, but never found anything that worked for very long. I did Tae Kwon Do for years, but had to stop when my joints started to not tolerate it. Switched to Hatha Yoga, great for the joints, not much

I started P90X to improve my upper body strength - I could never do pullups, and my volunteer EMT work includes lifting stretchers with really heavy people. If I can't lift my own weight, something needed to happen. In 90 days, I went from doing no pullups to knocking out 8 to 12. I feel better, and people say I look better. At the age of 56, it's nice to hear these things. The program, the meal plan, recipes and nutrition items (Shakeology, Results/Recovery Formula, P90X bars) are of excellent quality, taste great and deliver on their claims.
