Bellefonte, PA Welcome to Beachbody! I know that you will find a wealth of information and support from wonderful people through beachbody.com. I am living proof that working out pays off! I started out with Turbo Jam four years ago and had fantastic results. However, I wanted to work on my toning a bit so I purchased Chalene Extreme. All I can say is WOW! In just one round of this workout, I toned up in places Welcome to Beachbody! I know that you will find a wealth of information and support from wonderful people through beachbody.com. I am living proof that working out pays off! I started out with Turbo Jam four years ago and had fantastic results. However, I wanted to work on my toning a bit so I purchased Chalene Extreme. All I can say is WOW! In just one round of this workout, I toned up in places I did not even know had muscle! My husband and I also went on long runs together with our dogs. Through it all, I managed to get in shape and I ate healthy so I would not negate all that I had accomplished. One day, things changed a bit and we were getting ready for a baby boy! I was lucky enough to be able to continue to be active during pregnancy because I was so active before. I cannot emphasize enough how important that is even if all you can manage is going for nice brisk walks (of course listen to your doctor's advice first!) Exercise is super important for you, your baby, as well as your mental wellbeing. However, always listen to your doctor first! Nearly one year ago I gave birth to the most handsome little baby boy. Due to the fact that I needed an emergency c-section, I had to wait longer than the standard 8 weeks that doctors recommend for re-starting an exercise program post baby. I was very active up until the day before he was born through slow jogs and weight training and I was very conscious of what I put into my body. Many women use pregnancy as an excuse to eat anything and everything but I made sure that 90 percent of the time I ate healthy and the other 10 percent in indulged in some sneaky food:) After our son arrived, I wanted to try something different...something that would be fun and motivating since I would have to wait several weeks before I could get back into the swing of things. I purchased Turbofire about two months prior to my son's birth because I knew that if I saw that package sitting on my computer desk, I would be motivated to workout and lose that baby weight. I loved it and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Chalene Johnson. She rocks! In addition to Turbofire, I incorporated running as well as weight training (P90x). Getting back into shape post baby takes hard work and determination and a sensible diet. I truly believe that ANY woman can reach her goal as long as she is in good health...no excuses!! I reached my pre-baby weight about three months after I started my hybrid program and now, 11 months later, I weigh in at 122 pounds.....that is how much I weighed when my husband and I dated 10 years ago! I am AMAZED at my transformation and I could not be happier. Currently, I run with my baby in a jogging stroller and I am going through a complete round of p90x. I am already seeing results in my muscle tone and I cannot wait for the end result. In addition to my consistent workout schedule (everyday for at least one hour, while baby naps or when he is awake and we run through the neighborhood), I drink Shakeology which is the most delicious shake I have ever had! I am biased toward the chocolate flavor and I believe any chocoholic like myself will be as well. I highly recommend this healthy, delicious meal in a glass. It is the perfect way to get all the nutrients you need and well as a chocolate fix:) It comes in other flavors as well so message me if you are interested. Right now, I am trying to live as healthy a lifestyle as possible. Running after an 11 month old who is crawling all over the place certainly has it's challenges! However, everyday I dedicate at least one hour for ME time. This time involves working out, whether I run a few miles, do some weight training or a mix of both. I feel that it is so important for an individual's mental wellbeing to make time everyday for exercise. It releases endorphins and works as a natural anti depressant. Sometimes I am tired and don't feel like doing anything at all but after those first five minutes of a workout, I keep going and in the end, I feel re-energized and ready to tackle the day. Currently, I am jogging/running nearly everyday and I am on Round 1 of P90X and I intend to complete the whole cycle. I had been doing a P90X, Turbofire hybrid for a while but recently decided to simplify things for myself since having a little one at home can sometimes complicate things. All of my workouts are completed during his nap time and in the evenings, we usually jog as a family and then walk our dogs. We are a very active family! I cannot wait to share my results at the end of my P90X cycle. I hope that I can inspire other new moms out there to start transforming their lives through fitness.
