I wrestled for 2 years in high school and was in phenomenal shape. Shortly after high school I started working full time and attending college full time. I never worked out much and could tell I just didn't have the energy nor strength that I used to have.

I started to work out at home using a treadmill, doing crunches, and using "The Perfect Pushup" 5 days a week. I still wasn't seeing the results I wanted. I started going to the gym at work 3 times a week for at least an hour per session. 4 months of doing this and I did feel stronger, but not nearly as energetic nor motivated as I do now. I heard a lot about P90X. Some people at the gym had mentioned it as well as some co workers. I heard a lot of people who had quit within the first phase. After researching P90X and discussing it with a friend of mine, both my friend and I started P90X at the same time and went through the entire program.

I could not believe how difficult the work outs were after the first week of P90X. I thought I was in real good shape from exercising at the gym as much as I was, but I hadn't felt more sore than I did after completing my first week of P90X. It felt great! I thought I would be too tired to even work out the next day, but I started taking supplements such as whey protein which really helped my muscles recover and made me feel better and ready to work out for my next session.

I knew I was really accomplishing something when I felt like this. As I continued the program I started seeing results. The first month I could tell my strength has greatly increased. I already felt just as strong, if not, stronger than I had felt when I wrestled back in high school. Phase 2 actually didn't feel so bad. I was able to keep up with Horton and the gang while doing most workouts. When Phase 3 came around, this phase was tough. The extra week of working out before recovery week definitely makes a difference, but my motivation from my results and help from my coach got me through the program.

I was really excited on my final day of P90X to take my final after picture. My muscles have become much more defined and I feel a lot stronger, more energetic, motivated, and really enjoy P90X. My body fat went from 13% down to 7%. I started a 2nd round of P90X shortly after finishing.

During my 1st round of P90X, I decided to sign up at teambeachbody.com to see what good information I could get. When I got assigned to my coach, I contacted him with questions and got quick responses with great detailed answers. Both my coach and the community forums are a great tool for helping you to keep motivated and get into amazing shape. Just do your best and forget the rest!
