I grew up in Washington state, and have settled there again after some time in CA. I have been married 16 years, and my husband and I have 5 wonderful children. I earned a degree in Nutrition and Food Science when I was in college in San Diego, and I have always enjoyed sports.

I gained some weight between my first two children, but mostly lost it after my second was born. I really gained a lot with my third pregnancy, and got pregnant with my fourth pretty soon after (those two are 19 months apart). I was my heaviest with that pregnancy (203 lb.) and didn't lose much after the birth. I think I was around 180 lb. when I began Slim in 6 in December of 06, and was about 160 lb. by Feb/March 08. I tend to keep the weight on when I am nursing, but it slowly drops off when I am not. We really wanted to have another baby, and our 5th was born in May 09. I am now back up on my weight, and I now that my baby is just over 5 months old, I am beginning my fitness journey again.
I have recently begun home schooling my children. This is my first year with that, but it is going great! My husband is in the Navy reserves and also maintains another full-time job. He loves to work out and stay fit. We are both very involved in our local church, so between our work, our family, and our fitness, we keep pretty busy!

When I was late in pregnancy with my 4th child, I saw a Turbo Jam infomercial. It looked so fun! A few weeks later I saw one for Slim in 6. I decided to try SI6 as my first post-pregnancy workout. I had my daughter in September and began Slim in 6 toward the end of December. I got great results in those 6 weeks!!! I have gone on to use Yoga Booty Ballet, Turbo Jam and P90X. My current program is a mix of Slim Series with Slim Express! I have lost tons of inches, and though I have not lost more than 10 lbs, I have gone from a size 16 to a size 10! More muscle, less fat...works for me!
I have so enjoyed my journey back to fitness and health, and have been so encouraged by my friends on the thread that I chose to become a coach myself. I have always enjoyed encouraging women to be fit, and I particularly am interested in coming alongside women who have just come through a pregnancy and are seeking to fit their workouts in while nursing and caring for children. It is an unbelievable challenge that I still work through every day, every week. I'd love to find more women out there who are like me, and who want accountability in their journey to health and well-being.
