I would rather be able to work out in the privacy of my own home so the treadmill is what worked best for me! Until one day last March 2010 when my husband said we should try P90X. I had no idea (for the most part) what P90X was about. All that I knew was that it was an intense workout from two friends that I had on Facebook. I thought, what the heck, let's try it. So the day we received P90X we took our pictures and started our workouts that night. My life and fitness level changed from that day forward. I have been addicted to Beachbody workouts since and I am looking forward to a new chapter in my life with becoming a coach. I have completed P90X two times, INSANITY, Brazil Butt Lift and just finished my 11th month of ChaLean Extreme! I can't wait to start my first Beachbody Challenge with Turbo Fire and Shakeology. I want to get even more lean with my new challenge and can't wait to work with my new Beachbody team! I look forward to coaching, inspiring and helping people achieve their ultimate fitness goals! I know these products work - real results and I am proof of that! My Progress My fitness goal: Tone Up Transformation story

My husband and I started our Beachbody workouts on March 23, 2010. Spring was coming upon us and Jimmy and I had fallen off the wagon of our workout routine as we did almost every winter. And when I say "workout routine" I mean me walking on the treadmill for 30-60 min (maybe on an incline if I had the motivation) and Jimmy doing his own free weight workout every day for maybe 5 days a week. "Spring ahead" was about to happen and Jimmy mentioned that we needed to get back into the routine - so we headed down the basement to dust the cobwebs off of the treadmill and move it from it's folded up position. When we went to do that we found a leak in our wall in our basement and water was everywhere. So needless to say our workout plans were put on hold. Then one night Jimmy mentioned something about us doing P90X. I had heard of it but knew nothing about it and what it entailed - just that it was a really hard core workout program - still to this day, I have not seen an entire infomercial of it. So we dug a little deeper and did some research and thought - what the heck - it can't hurt and if we can be in Beachbody shape by the summer - even better! So that same night we ordered it and waited anxiously for it to arrive in the mail - it couldn't come soon enough. The day it came - we put on our workout clothes - took our day 1 pictures and started what ended up to be a life changing workout program. We worked out together every day for 90 days (never missed a day!) and the results were unreal. We were sucked in after the first painful 2 weeks were over and we started seeing results.... yes, you do see results that quickly. You can say we were a little psycho about it. If we traveled on the weekend we took it with us. We actually looked forward to working out. And this is coming from a very non-athletic person. Yes, I played soccer in high school (wasn't very good-ha!) and played rugby (yes, I said rugby) in college (and wasn't very good at that either!) mostly for the social atmosphere and had a great time doing it even if I was no good. But I always tried to keep somewhat in shape by walking on the treadmill everyday. I did Pilates for some time as well and loved it but I definitely don't have time to go to classes now. But I enjoyed a little too much wine that winter and probably ate out more that I should have and my pictures tell the truth to that I really wasn't sure I was going to be able to complete it because I am not really an athlete at all but the challenge of the 90 days was a great one and I can say we successfully completed it and even did another round. The first round I did the classic version and the 2nd round I did the lean version. I have to say by the 2nd round I completed the 90 days but have to admit we did miss a few workouts (it was summer and we do a lot of traveling back and forth from the shore) but the days we missed we always tried to do something else whether it be go for a long bike ride or take a walk on the beach. And when I say we missed a few workouts it was maybe 7-10 - not bad at all. So I finished the second round and thought what am I going to do next... I started a 3rd round and only got into a few days into it and was getting a bit bored. 6 months of Tony Horton is A LOT! haha. That's when I decided to challenge myself and take on Shaun T and INSANITY - which I NEVER thought I would actually even attempt because I heard how hard it was. This was THE HARDEST (as they advertise it and true to it's word)workout on DVD, at least for me it was. I have never sweated so much in my life and was near tears during some of the workouts. BUT I finished it - I did it everyday for 60 days and I felt so accomplished again for completing it. Next up was Brazil Butt Lift - this is only a 4 week program and was a nice change of pace. However I have zero rhythm and coordination so at times it was challenging for me. Again, I completed the program and didn't miss a workout. Decided to try out ChaLean Extreme - I really liked this one. I like to call it the "lighter version" or "woman's version" of P90X. It's a 90 day program working out 5 days a week and the workouts are a bit shorter than the P90X workouts. I definitely built lean muscle and lost some more inches with this one. Chalene is a great motivator and I really enjoyed working out everyday. I just finished my 11th month of CLX and I am ready for my TurboFire Challenge! The best thing about the Beachbody workouts I have done is that you are not doing the same workout everyday - it's all about muscle confusion. I have muscle in my body that I didn't even know existed. And no, I don't look like a body builder I highly recommend these workouts. We started this time last year and by the end of June we were ready to hit the beach. I was comfortably wearing a bikini by summer - even though I still had work to do on some areas such as the butt and thighs ... always a problem area for me! After having Nora I thought I would never see the days of wearing a bikini ever again - I was wrong. I can honestly say that I am in the best shape of my life (and look to continue to stay this way for a long time)- I have NEVER been this fit before - I feel freakishly strong at times and I am not afraid to look in the mirror anymore. I don't weigh myself very often (because the number on the scale doesn’t really matter to me anymore as long as I still feel good) but the last time I stepped on the scale I had lost 25 pounds total - that was back in January. I really just go by the way my clothes fit now. Speaking of clothes - I have had to buy many new pants and tops because they were ridiculously big on me - not a bad thing, I know. Even my workout pants (spandex ones) are huge on me. What a great feeling! Now I get these programs aren't for everyone. I have found that a lot of "gym goers" really have no interest in these programs - most responses I get are... "I go to the gym I don't need P90X" or "I need to go to the gym - I can't work out at home". Me, on the other hand, I hate going to the gym. By the time I get ready - make myself look at least 1/2 way decent so I don't scare anyone - drive to the gym - have someone watch Nora - work out - drive home from the gym I would probably spend more time (and money for that matter since you only have to pay for P90X once) than it would take me to complete a P90X workout. I can literally roll out of bed, brush my teeth, throw on some clothes, find my way to the basement and get my workout on. Trust me, I know a ton of people who have started p90x but fell off the wagon. I honestly only know a handful of people (like 4-5) besides Jimmy and myself who have finished P90X. If you decide to do it you just need to make sure you stick to it, make time for it everyday and have someone who you have to report to everyday that you completed your workout - you will get amazing results. Jimmy and I did not follow the meal plan - we just changed the way we ate. We never deprived ourselves. If we wanted cake, candy, beer, wine - we would still eat/drink just in moderation. Once you start seeing results you won't want to eat bad - it totally has changed our lives and in the best way possible! I took a look at my day 1 pictures today and thought - oh my.... I look like the Pillsbury dough girl.... seriously. I am soooo glad that we took day 1 pictures because that also kept me motivated throughout. We would take our pictures every 30 days and seeing the results was so gratifying. The difference in my day 1 pictures and my pictures today is unreal. I am going to keep at it and continue to stay in the best shape possible - I feel amazing! Programs Meal plan: Your current meal plan is: Balanced Slim Down at 2100 calories.
