It was around March of ‘07 that I was at 214 pounds. This was the heaviest I have ever been and I was extremely unhappy with the way I felt and looked. I always saw in my mind how I should look, but never knew how to obtain that. Around this time I had started seeing the commercials for P 90X. It scared the crap out of me. But, I decided to check it out anyway by going to the Beach Body website. Once there I found Power 90 and Slim in 6. These looked like something I could do. To get my wife involved, I bought Slim in 6. I personally didn’t think I would see any results, but, what could it hurt to try, plus, it was only 6 weeks. That’s an easy commitment.

On July 2, 2007, I officially started my first round of Slim in 6. It literally kicked my butt. Going from not active to working out 6 days a week was hard stuff. But, I committed to it, set up my own pictorial on the Beach Body Forums, and had to be accountable. I made it through Slim in 6 and was 15.1 pounds lighter. I knew this was the beginning of me finally being healthier.

In January of 08 I decided to commit to Power 90. Not only was this twice as long as Slim in 6, but it had a little more variety from what I had seen. I wanted to start the New Year off right. I was going to get in better shape and get closer to my ideal weight of 175-165 pounds. The first round of Power 90 was hard, but I loved it. My results for Power 90 were another 13 pounds and 13.75 inches. HOLY MOLY! I could not believe the results. I had gone from a size 36-38 inch waist down to a 32-34 inch waist in pants. I also went from a large in t-shirts to a size medium. I could finally wear half of my clothes. (I was one of those who bought clothes that I wanted to fit in, but couldn’t).

Current Day. I’m currently doing P90X and loving every bit of it. I’ve maintained my weight of 173 (I Hit my Goal Weight) and I am down to a size 30 in jeans! T-shirts are now small or medium and I feel better than I’ve ever felt. With the help of the many people I’ve met through Beach Body to my amazing coach (JoeyPetri), my goals are getting even closer to being maintained. I look forward to my workouts and I look forward to helping others achieve their goals.
