I am 39 years old, married, a bit of a smart ass and enjoy many things. As far as sports goes I really enjoy bike riding, playing basketball and any of the major sports.

I am 39 years old, married, a bit of a smart ass and enjoy many things. As far as sports goes I really enjoy bike riding, playing basketball and any of the major sports.
I started the X in August of 2007 and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately around Day 40 I started to feel some pain in my left shoulder. (I'm a man, we can take it, right?). Around Day 60, it got worse. (Again, I'm a man, we can take it..) Around Day 80 I had to quit the program because I couldn't even raise my arm anymore. So after seeing a few different doctors, taking some medication, a cortisone shot and a month or two of physical therapy it was time for surgery. As it turns out I had bone spurs in my shoulder due to trauma (uh..ok, I'm a man and I'm an idiot). I guess the technical term is acromioplasty. Anyway, these spurs were causing all kinds of issues in my shoulder so they got in there and sawed them off (ewww). I'm currently going through physical therapy to regain my strength and get back to pain free workouts.
Of course, during my downtime for many months I thought it was a great idea not to do any exercise at all and supplement that by eating everything I could. So, all the weight I lost on the X came right back and then some. BUT..I am refocused again and ready to rock!
My initial goal is to get back to the X by summer. In the meantime I'm trying doing some of the Cardio programs from Power 90 Master Series.
