After my first child was born in October 2002, I was frustrated as I had gained so much weight. With a strong desire to succeed, I was able to stay focused and on track following the weight watchers nursing program. I would keep track in a journal all food that I put into my mouth - everything. Daily workouts would run anywhere from 30 minutes of cardio to a combination of strength and cardio.

With a strong desire to succeed, I was able to stay focused and on track following the weight watchers nursing program. I would keep track in a journal all food that I put into my mouth - everything. Daily workouts would run anywhere from 30 minutes of cardio to a combination of strength and cardio. In 6 months I had lost all of my pregnacy weight gain, not to mention about 15 extra pounds that I always wanted off, just never took off. After my second pregnacy, I seemed to disorganized to be as dedicated the first time around. I found myself making excuses as to why I couldn't exercise. I had not gained that much during the second pregnancy so in about 9 months without too much effort I was almost prepregnacy size, then, found out I was expecting my third child. I have to admit, I was not a smart eater with the third, and it showed...lol. I made the decision though, this time I am going to work really hard, and become as fit as I became after my first child was born. Each of my children had to be delivered via c-section. Anyone who has had any sort of surgery knows that there is a recovery period before you can become physically active. My sone was born on December 7, 2005 and by January 9, 2006 I was more than ready to get back in the game! I started with gradual changes. I remember I could hardly get through 15 minutes of any activity before feeling to tired. One night while up nursing my baby, I seen the slim in 6 informercial. As soon as I was done nursing him, I was to the computer and ordered it. I followed the six week program, but found that by the sixth week I was not motivated to continue it. Then came Turbo Jam. Let me just say that there is nothing like it. No workout (and I have a ton of them) is any thing like this. Chalene is so motivating, and she is real! In April I started following Turbo Jam, and did so faithfully for two months until I broke a toe in my foot. That put a kaibosh on things for summer. It was hard getting back into once summer was over but I focused and did get back into it.
My wieght loss has not been fast, but for me I think this is best. Drastic may not be attainable. Today is Day 372 and I have lost 29 lbs. I have picked it up a notch since January 2. In just two weeks I have lost an additional 3 lbs. I accredit that to paying very close attention to good carbs, bad carbs, time of day you eat carbs, protien intake, and physical activity. I was looking forward to wearing a bikini that summer, but once again found myself pregnant with baby number 4. He was delivered at the end of 2007 via c-section. By the end of January 08, I was easing myself back into the routine and by March had dropped 15 lbs. Unfortunatley, that is where I remained for the next 2 years. I got serious about it in February 2010 and left a life without enough physical activity behind. This time, I am using ChaLEAN Extreme, Turbo Jam and my treadmill. I would like to see if I could run a 5km race this summer. I will update my photo when I get to that point!
