I just recently graduated from school and I'm starting my first career as an exotic pet veterinarian. It's been a long and difficult road but after 8 years of hard studying and zero personal time I'm ready to get started and get the rest of my life back in order.

My main goal in the past has been to lose weight. I really focused on my diet and counting calories. I lost 25lbs by cutting back to 1600 calories, eating lots of fruits and veggies and changing to More ...
My main goal in the past has been to lose weight. I really focused on my diet and counting calories. I lost 25lbs by cutting back to 1600 calories, eating lots of fruits and veggies and changing to diet soda. I also incorporated a small amount of light exercise by walking my dogs one mile twice a day. Now that I've moved we don't walk as far because there is too much traffic and I've become lax about my diet. It's been hard to maintain and I've gained back 10lbs.
Now I not only want to slim down but I want to build some muscle so that I can burn more calories and maintain the weight loss. I'm trying to refocus my energy away from the number on the scale and more toward how I feel. Despite the fact that I lost weight, I always felt exhausted and light headed. I'd love to learn to eat even better so that I can enjoy more food and food that won't leave me feeling empty 30 minutes later and get more energy from exercising.
