SASCHA WON THE MARCH 2009 $1000 MILLION DOLLAR BODY CONTEST!

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by to read my story!

A little about my history: depression, anxiety/panic attacks, and migraines
with aura (which double the risk of heart disease) run in my family. My mom
has been overweight her whole life and now has type 2 diabetes (which I’d
like to avoid). She’s always advised me, “Look at me as a warning, not as an
example”.

I grew up as an active, in-shape figure skater, had a back injury and
developed sciatica at age 17, quit skating, gained weight, became depressed,
and went up & down for years. I had poor nutrition and quit all forms of
exercise, never knowing my body required consistent, daily workouts to stay
in shape. I had taken my figure for granted and never fully attributed
it to all the morning workouts I did for years.

I was overweight, disgusted with myself (I remember telling myself aloud
many times in the mirror I was ugly and fat), had migraines with aura,
anxiety/panic attacks, depression, and years filled with disappointing myself
by not sticking to or meeting any goals.

I DIDN”T KNOW HOW TO CHANGE!

I was sure I would end up eternally overweight. I wore long sleeved shirts in
the summer, hid in one-piece bathing suits with long beach wrap-arounds,
and celebrated fall so I could hide in turtlenecks and long pants. I was
jealous of anyone who was slender. Married at 150 lbs., I had two children
and went up past 200lbs with each pregnancy. I took anti-depression
and anxiety meds, and had full Adrenal Exhaustion in February of 2004.

I told myself, “Oh, it’ll only take me 2 months to get back in shape since I
used to be so athletic”. That was not true because I never ‘got it together’ to
put in the time! I was fooling myself.

At about 175 pounds I saw the Slim in 6 program on TV, ordered it, and couldn't
wait for it to arrive! I was fascinated by the before/after photos and wondered
what I could look like if I just made that first step.

I loved the SI6 program and the results I was beginning to see during the first
few weeks, but for some reason I thought my body should’ve been changing
faster. I began to make excuses for not working out (too busy, depressed, too
tired, etc) and spent time being envious about what other people were doing
instead of focusing on how I could improve MYSELF! Depression had snuck
back into my life I had daily panic attacks. I hated taking prescription
medication...so I felt my last and only hope was (once again) to turn
to...exercise.

I was a yo-yo exerciser (for about a year). I exercised for a couple weeks and
then I’d drop off for about 4-6 weeks. I’d begin to feel depressed, panic
attacks would creep back in, and then I saw the pattern happening (yet
again)! After exercising for a few weeks my conditions would improve a bit
and I’d forget how bad they used to be. I realized (for the sake of my sanity) I
really couldn’t afford to NOT exercise! During the yo-yo year I did somehow
manage to lose 10 pounds.

After taking anti-depressants for more than 2 years (supposedly to help my anxiety and migraines), I wanted to try
something else. In the process of my long recovery from Adrenal Exhaustion
(2004), I learned exercise helps relieve depression, anxiety, and is good for
the heart. VOILA! Drop the Prozac and replace with exercise. With my
doctor’s guidance I carefully weaned myself off Prozac Oct. 2006 and made a
New Year’s Resolution for 2007 in hopes of alleviating my conditions.

I promised myself I’d stick with SI6. In January of 2007 I was down to 150 lbs.
(even from inconsistent SI6 workouts), and I began to exercise almost every
day. I lost 10 lbs., felt WAY better about myself and was very hopeful about
reshaping my body, ATTITUDE, and health. I wasn't feeling so down in the
dumps (even during the yucky, ongoing rain in Oregon). At even at the one-
week point I felt my body changing and my strength building up again. I
could hardly stay away from the Beach Body site and I looked forward to
working out each day. It was my SAVING GRACE. My Success Buddies made
me accountable for my workouts and I needed that!

Since I began using SI6, I’ve lost more than 40 pounds and gone from about
175 to 130! I used to wear a 14-16 pant and am now in a 6! I’ve
significantly trimmed my waist and reduced my body fat from 36% to 22%! I
have A LOT of energy and a healthier attitude now. My flexibility increased
and my sciatica pain became minimal to none!

SI6 has helped me stay sane and have awesome physical benefits to boot!
Even on days when I don't feel like exercising, I am always so glad I did...and
that motivates me the next day.

My husband and I went to Hawaii in September of 2008 and I wore a bikini for the
first time in our marriage! I ordered Turbo Jam and love it, too. I mix up my
workouts to keep things exciting and have no gym fees.

People have commented about how much healthier and leaner I look. I feel
much better about myself and I tell everyone about Team Beachbody!

I had the honor of being cast as 1 of 12 ladies to be in the Fall 2009 Slim
in 6 Infomercial! I met Debbie Siebers in person (she is AMAZING!), made
bonding friendships, and had one of the most memorable weeks of my life
during the filming in LA.

NEVER give up!

THANK YOU, Beach Body and Debbie Siebers!
